General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, June 19, tease that a memorable classic will conclude “CarSon” week. In this emotional encore, more people learn about Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) tragic fate. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) also blames Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in this General Hospital episode that first aired on October 12, 2016. We’ve got all the details for your Friday GH rewatch.
For starters, Sonny’s dealing with intense grief as he gazes at a picture of Morgan. He talks to Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) about calling off the hit and reaching the broker in time. Jason thinks that’s true, but he notes that the broker has disappeared. Sonny’s determined to get answers and winds up heading to the PCPD.
At the police station, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) gets a visit from Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Once Dante realizes Michael’s been away on business and doesn’t know about Morgan, Dante has to give Michael updates on what happened to their brother. Michael’s shocked, but he quickly pushes for answers.
After Michael learns Morgan died because of a bomb meant for Julian, he knows Sonny wanted Julian dead more than anybody. Sonny and Jason walk in, which leaves Michael ready for a confrontation. He steps into the interrogation room with his father and lets Sonny have it for putting Morgan’s death in motion.
Over with Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin), Dillon Quartermaine (Robert Palmer Watkins) finds her and frets about her possibly having second thoughts about being together. Kiki insists she just wants to do things the right way and explain her feelings to Morgan before she moves on with Dillon.
Afterward, Ava Jerome (Maura West) tracks Kiki down and gently breaks it to her that Morgan’s dead. Kiki doesn’t believe Ava at first, so she tries calling Morgan’s phone. There’s no answer, so Kiki’s hit hard by grief. She wants more info, so Ava says Morgan had too much to drink after spotting Kiki and Dillon’s intimate moment.
Kiki denies that there was anything intimate going on and thinks Morgan had already been acting strange. She feels his meds were to blame. When Dillon meets up with Kiki again, she’s an emotional wreck.
Kiki settles down enough to tell Dillon that Morgan’s gone. Since Kiki feels they’re the reason Morgan died, she doesn’t think it’d be right to be with Dillon.
At home, Carly awakens after having a dream about Morgan. She still thinks Morgan’s coming back after he gets off work, so Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) has to remind her that’s not going to happen.
Carly ends up seeing Sonny’s dirty coat from the night before and realizes Morgan’s indeed dead. She sobs as Bobbie holds her close and tries to offer comfort.
Dante shows up and offers some details on the situation soon after. Carly hears about Jason doing his best to pull Morgan over before the explosion. Carly questions Dante about whether Sonny’s connected to this bomb, but Dante doesn’t give her any answers about that. Even so, Carly thinks she already knows the truth.
Later, Dante has an outburst in the PCPD interrogation room. Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) arrives and sees something is terribly wrong, so Dante fills her in on Morgan. Dante’s doubly upset since he may have to arrest Sonny. Lulu embraces Dante as he struggles in mourning.
Over with Ava again, she bumps into Bobbie and speaks with her about Morgan. Ava confesses that she loved Morgan and believes he was the only person who saw good in her at one point. Once Ava gets on the elevator at the Metro Court, she lets the tears flow.
Sonny returns to find Carly listening to the last voicemail she left for Morgan – the one he’ll never hear because he was blown up. Carly shoves a picture of Morgan in Sonny’s face and rants about their beautiful boy being dead.
After Carly makes it clear that she blames Sonny for killing Morgan, she hurls the picture to the floor and shatters the frame. Carly sobs and leaves Sonny looking heartbroken.
