General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will soon get some alarming news. As GH viewers know, Sonny has been dealing with Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) decline due to Alzheimer’s Disease for a while now. Sonny has been stoic about the whole thing, but it’s clear that it’s horrible for him watching his dad progress through the stages of the disease.
Well, to say that Mike’s decline has been a distraction for Sonny would be an understatement. And Sonny is currently in a position where he needs as few distractions as possible.
After all, he’s got a turf war going on with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), who is running his vast drug operation from prison. Sonny likes to keep his territory drug-free, and he’s currently being vigilant given the threat that Cyrus poses.
Of course, unbeknownst to Sonny, Cyrus now has Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) working for him to give his drug shipments free access into Sonny’s territory.
Jordan doesn’t have a choice in the matter; she’s doing it because Cyrus’ people have her son TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) held hostage. It’s a big mess, and according to GH spoilers, Sonny will soon realize that somehow, a drug shipment has made it into his territory.
And after that happens, Sonny is going to receive a call about Mike, which will most likely be from the staff at Turning Woods, where Mike lives. GH spoilers say that shortly after Sonny receives that call, Mike will be disoriented.
Of course, this could simply be the result of Mike’s declining condition, but we’re wondering if there could be something more nefarious involved here.
After all, we now know that Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) is on Cyrus’ payroll and does his bidding. Harmony really has no choice in the matter; either she acts as Cyrus’ agent or else she risks putting Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) in danger. It’s pretty clear that once Cyrus has his hooks in a person, there’s no getting out of it.
At any rate, given that Harmony works for Cyrus, and that Harmony works at Turning Woods, it stands to reason that Cyrus could ask Harmony to do something to Mike in order to distract Sonny and make his organization vulnerable.
It’s a terrible thought, but what if Harmony drugged Mike or messed with his medications to cause him to be disoriented, which would result in Sonny being contacted?
Perhaps Cyrus will want Sonny distracted at a particular time, so that he can make some sort of move in Sonny’s territory. Of course, that would be a risk on Cyrus’ part, because if Sonny finds out that someone deliberately harmed Mike, then Sonny would surely be more likely to retaliate. Still, Cyrus doesn’t seem to be too worried about Sonny retaliating at this point, so you never know.
We’ll see what happens here, but given Harmony’s job at Turning Woods and her proximity to Mike, we’d be surprised if Cyrus didn’t try to use it to his advantage somehow.
