General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) return from the dead opens up some interesting new story possibilities – and not just for Peter August (Wes Ramsey)!
GH fans know Helena’s survival could also have a big impact on Valentin since he’s missing a huge puzzle piece from his own past. There’s a major secret that Helena has the power to reveal: the identity of Valentin’s true biological father.
Back in February 2020, Valentin had a vision of Helena as he tried to process the news that he was her illegitimate son, not a true Cassadine as he previously thought. Helena admitted that she originally tricked Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos) into believing Valentin was his son.
However, that encounter obviously wasn’t between Valentin and Helena’s ghost since we now know she’s alive to make a phone call to Peter. Valentin just conjured up Helena in his head. That was Valentin’s way of making sense of things since he was in such a dark place.
In other words, Valentin made assumptions based on the blood test and used his own vision of Helena to figure things out. That’s an intriguing distinction since this info didn’t come specifically from Helena.
It opens the door to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) paying off the right people and duping Valentin into thinking he wasn’t a real Cassadine.
Since Helena never confirmed it, how do we know this wasn’t Nikolas’ twisted revenge? Valentin could turn out to be Mikkos’ son – and a true Cassadine – after all.
Then again, GH writers might leave things as is and pursue the angle of Valentin finding out who his bio dad is. If the blood test was legit, then viewers still don’t know who Valentin’s father actually was.
Valentin previously had no easy path to the truth, but now he might have one if he confronts Helena. Whether it’s through some sort of deal or a threat at gunpoint, Valentin could push Helena to spill all!
General Hospital spoilers suggest Helena has only filmed return scenes from home so far, so we might have to wait on that confrontation and father bombshell. Even so, Helena is alive and well – and that means she could indeed drop that bomb on Valentin eventually.
