General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one ABC soap star sent out a fun tweet to acknowledge his recent appearance on the show. As part of General Hospital’s plan to make their new episodes last as long as possible, they’ve been doing Flashback Fridays. GH’s latest offering was a great encore episode from 2018, which featured Dominic Zamprogna as Dante Falconeri.
Many General Hospital fans got in touch with Zamprogna on social media to let him know they enjoyed seeing him pop up again. This GH special was all about showing a different life for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Sonny saw how different things would’ve been if he’d made a different choice as a young man and avoided all the mob drama.
Sonny indeed had a very different life, which included a role in law enforcement while Dante was married to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and caught up in the mob himself. Since Dante was such a crucial part of the episode, GH viewers sent him plenty of praise on Twitter.
This blast from the past obviously got Zamprogna’s attention, so he tweeted about how much he misses his General Hospital family. Lots of GH fans miss Zamprogna’s portrayal of Dante, too! “Miss my familia!!” Zamprogna said. “And this was fun as hell.” Zamprogna clearly had a good time taking Dante for a walk on the wild side and doing something a little different.
Maybe Zamprogna could be lured back to General Hospital full-time with the right story pitch. Sometimes actors are just looking for new ways to challenge themselves and play something they haven’t done before.
Of course, money is important as well. Zamprogna might agree to come back for the right price alone, so it’d be great if GH could make this comeback happen. Dante is needed in Port Charles! He should be around for Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) as well as Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan).
Although Lulu has moved on with Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson), part of her is always going to love Dante. There’s still hope for “Lante’s” future since GH kept Dante alive. If Zamprogna ever decides to make a permanent comeback, Dante and Lulu could absolutely find their way back to each other.
