General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that one thing became crystal clear after Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) recent Nurses Ball performance: Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is NOT over her ex!
Valentin put on a great show as usual and is counting on Nina to get tired of her latest “shiny object,” Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). However, Nina’s putting up a fight.
Valentin had a tender conversation with Nina after his act and acknowledged her half-heart pendant necklace. That led to Valentin reminding Nina that he only lied and did what he did out of love.
Nina knows that – and she also knows that Valentin’s sorry. Nina just feels like there are some things an apology can’t undo.
Of course, it seems obvious GH is going to put Valentin back with Nina eventually, so how’s he going to make that reunion happen? Valentin needs three things to accomplish his goal and make Nina happy.
The first one is to turn Nina against Jax, but he also needs to give Nina her true daughter and prove he can be the man she needs.
There’s surely a reason Jax’s jeweler is the one poised to help crack the daughter case. General Hospital is probably setting it up for Jax to realize Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) is Nina’s bio daughter and hide it – preferably by keeping the secret with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
If Valentin figures out the truth, he can expose Jax’s deception and make Nina hate his guts.
That takes care of Valentin’s first problem, but what about giving Nina her daughter and coming through when it counts? It might be difficult if Nelle’s on the run with Wiley Quartemaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) or in prison following this Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) slashing.
Fortunately, GH has laid the groundwork for the next chapter through Valentin’s latest partnerships with both Nelle and Brook Lynn. It’s no coincidence that Valentin has worked with both these ladies and roped them into deals. It may be time for some new deals soon enough.
Brook Lynn’s singing career is probably over due to Nelle’s attack on her throat. Valentin promised to make Brook Lynn a singing sensation, so he’ll either have to find her the best doctors to help her or perhaps put her on the throne at ELQ!
The latter would be a great way to help Brook Lynn stick it to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).
Regardless, Valentin has a lot to offer Brook Lynn and can surely work out some arrangement – one that’d mean dropping all charges against Nelle or perhaps even claiming that someone else attacked her.
Valentin could always find a fall guy and get Nelle off the hook somehow. He’ll have to if he wants Nina to ever have a relationship with her daughter – and that’s indeed what Valentin will want since that’s what Nina will want. Nelle’s actions will probably only make Nina even more determined to “save” her.
That brings us to Nelle. It’s easy to imagine Valentin promising he’ll get Nelle out of all her messes on one condition: she doesn’t hurt Nina EVER. Nelle could be a dead woman if she ever dares to harm Nina in any way.
Valentin has often been “Mr. Fix-It” in the past, so here’s his chance to wave his magic wand and finally get the Nina reunion he’s seeking.
