General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the ABC soap may have offered a huge clue about a returning character. GH fans know Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) was presumed dead in a boat explosion thanks to Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) trap.
However, we’ve seen enough presumed dead characters come back to life to know Cassandra’s death may not stick.
Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) got a distress call that he believes was from Holly Sutton (Emma Samms). That call was traced to an old casino of Cassandra’s in Monte Carlo, so there’s surely a reason for that.
Why else would GH writers just throw Cassandra’s name back in the mix? It seems like a setup for a storyline collision and Cassandra’s return from the dead.
Let’s consider a few other hints. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) was working with Cassandra and may have a connection to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) as well.
When Nikolas discovered Cyrus had been released, he immediately started grilling Robert. Nikolas tried to play it off as concern for Laura Collins (Genie Francis), but he seemed too rattled. There may be more to the story here.
If Cyrus is connected to Nikolas, then Cyrus is probably connected to Cassandra, too. After all, Cassandra was an international drug trafficker who wasn’t fond of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Cyrus and Cassandra would make the perfect partners in crime. In fact, they might make the perfect partners in love!
It’d be easy to buy Cassandra as someone Cyrus fell for. If Cyrus is ever going to have a love interest, it’ll have to be someone crafty and menacing – someone who operates on Cyrus’ level. Cassandra fits the bill, so that brings us to Cyrus’ mysterious weakness.
General Hospital still hasn’t revealed the person Cyrus is hiding at that house on Wilson Avenue – the person Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) found and used to threaten Cyrus.
Could Cassandra be alive at that house? Perhaps that’s where Cassandra has recovered with the help of a nurse, which would explain the money Cyrus has been sending.
As for the mention of Cassandra’s casino, maybe there’s a deeper connection – one that leaves Cyrus and Cassandra tied to all Holly drama.
Holly was clearly distraught and begging for help, so there has to be some baddie behind faking her death – and it’s not Peter August (Wes Ramsey). He got confirmation on that after confronting his henchman.
General Hospital spoilers say there are more shockers ahead, so it’ll be interesting to see if Cassandra is alive and linked to Cyrus. As other GH news and updates emerge, we’ll keep you in the loop.
