General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a beloved character will receive some news that changes her life during the week of May 18-22. A pregnancy bombshell is brewing for one shocked female on canvas, but who’s it going to be? Let’s break down the clues and try to figure out where GH is going with this.
Some General Hospital fans like the idea of Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) being pregnant with Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) baby, but that doesn’t seem likely.
We’ve only got a few episodes until GH runs out – and Willow should spend all of them in the courtroom. It’d be weird if Willow were sneaking off to take a pregnancy test in the middle of all that drama.
Plus, we have to remember that Willow and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) got married the night before this custody hearing. Soap time will drag it out, but it looks like this will be the same morning all week long.
It seems illogical for Willow to suddenly realize she’s pregnant the morning after she married Michael. Wouldn’t Willow have already realized she was “late” and pumped the brakes?
General Hospital spoilers also point to a long-simmering conflict potentially exploding because of this pregnancy, and there’s nothing like that going on with Willow. It’s safe to say we can rule Willow out.
Of course, Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) is a strong pregnancy contender since she’s hiding a one-night stand with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). The long-simmering conflict part does raise questions though.
You could argue that Molly and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) have been building to this for a while since there are underlying relationship issues they haven’t addressed – issues that were highlighted when they weren’t on the same page about the marriage proposal.
Based on Molly’s storyline, it’d make sense for her ill-advised hookup to result in this soapy baby mess.
However, there’s another option that’s at least worth mulling over. General Hospital spoilers for May sweeps insisted Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) would get some news that could derail her blissful life with Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
So where’s that news? It hasn’t happened yet, and that’s intriguing considering a character’s set to get this life-changing pregnancy news in the week ahead.
That would certainly fit with the long-simmering conflict part since Peter’s got major enemies. The stakes would be raised immensely if Maxie ends up with Peter’s bun in the oven. People like Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) would be even more concerned and focused on taking Peter down.
We can’t forget General Hospital made Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) pregnant with Donna Corinthos out of nowhere, so GH writers do like their baby curveballs.
Is Molly a red herring meant to throw everyone off the trail? After all, Molly’s the kind of gal who’d be super careful about birth control, the morning after pill, etc.
Could Maxie actually be the character who learns she’s expecting a baby? Maxie definitely isn’t looking to add a kid to the mix right now, so this would indeed derail her life with Peter in a big way!
Molly is still a great option, but it’s wise to keep an open mind – particularly since General Hospital will want to deliver some surprises before they run out of episodes on May 21.
