General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has been playing a very secretive game. As GH viewers know, Valentin managed to wrangle ownership of Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) shares of ELQ, then he got hold of Brook Lynn Quarermaine’s (Amanda Setton) shares as well. And recently, Valentin had Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) out on a quest to buy up as many shares of the company that he could find.
Well, Valentin seems to be motivated by two things here. First off, he needs something to focus on from a business perspective now that he’s not a true Cassadine. Plus, he just likes the thought of causing the Quartermaines some inner family turmoil.
Valentin was livid with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) after the whole Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson) fake daughter thing blew up in his face, and he vowed to go after Michael. Messing with the Quartermaine legacy would certainly achieve that end.
Of course, much of Valentin’s motivations and dealings with respect to his quest to take over ELQ have been left unsaid. Martin went off to do unseen bidding for Valentin, and mostly viewers just see Valentin as if he’s acting alone.
But could he have a secret partner who wants to help him infiltrate the Quartermaine company, or who at least knows what Valentin is up to at this point and is willing to help?
A name has kept popping up on the show recently, and that’s Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary). Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) has talked about going off and seeing Luke to possibly get some help on tracking down Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), assuming that she’s still alive as Robert thinks she is.
That led Robert to have a number of conversations with other characters about Luke, and that’s led some fans to wonder if perhaps Luke will be returning once the show returns.
Could Luke perhaps be working with Valentin on his bid to buy up ELQ shares? We certainly wouldn’t put it past Luke to be involved in something shady at this point, and he could have all sorts of motivations for being involved with Valentin – even some hidden motives that could come as a big surprise to viewers.
We’ll see what happens here, but we suspect that Valentin may have a bigger agenda here than at first meets the eye. Valentin could be involved with just about anyone off-screen, but given that Luke has come up so much lately, you never know…he could be in cahoots with Valentin.
