General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that an unexpected alliance has some GH fans rooting for a new couple! There are always going to be loyal “JaSam” shippers who want Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) together, but other viewers wouldn’t mind a change.
Sometimes it’s fun when GH shakes things up in the romance department – and they have an excellent opportunity to do that with Jason right now.
Jason has gained an ally in Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), who was taken aback by the fact that he seemed willing to trust her. As Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) mentioned, Britt has a lot of haters in Port Charles. However, Jason was quick to point out that everyone hated Carly once upon a time, too.
Jason argued that he made up his own mind about people, so that’s what he’s doing with Britt right now. Based on Britt’s reaction to the increase in overdose cases, Jason can tell she’s emotionally affected by her patients and truly cares.
Not many people are willing to look close enough to see the good in Britt, but Jason’s willing and able.
It’s also refreshing to see Britt and Jason call each other out in some ways. They have a fun vibe and dare we say great chemistry! Let’s look at some what fans are saying on Twitter, where many have hopped aboard the Jason and Britt train.
“I’ve been a JaSam stan since the beginning but Jason/Britt…..I’m not gonna lie, I’m behind it,” one viewer admitted. “The writers aren’t writing for Jason and Sam anymore. So can we just end them. I see more scenes with him and Britt,” another fan suggested.
“I still kind of think Jason and Britt would be hella interesting…And as much as I enjoy JaSam, I dunno what is going on there,” one more fan said.
Basically, it feels like plenty of fans are craving a REAL romance for Jason. Since Jason and Sam seem to have permanently stalled, what’s the point of them being a couple?
General Hospital isn’t offering a true love story these days. Sam and Jason are technically together, but it’s so rare that we see anything steamy or all that meaningful.
Maybe GH writers should give Britt and Jason a try. It could happen if perhaps the mob danger breaks “JaSam” up or some other reason arises for a split. Sam could eventually get a new man – or perhaps a reunion with Drew Cain (Billy Miller), even if it’s in the form of a recast.
Whatever the case, it’d be nice to see some love in the afternoon for Jason – and GH clearly isn’t going to deliver it with Jason and Sam as an item. Our only hope may be if Jason falls for someone else, so it might as well be Britt! We’ll keep you posted as other news and updates emerge.
