General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) may be gone, but the trauma that she’s unloaded on everyone will continue. As GH viewers know, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) is going to have a major road to recovery after Nelle’s attack, and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is going to be haunted by what actually happened on that cliff.
In fact, both Carly and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) are probably going to be on edge until Nelle’s body is found.
Of course, Carly and Jax are under the belief that Nelle must be dead, since it didn’t seem like anyone could have survived the drop off that cliff. So, how long will it be until Carly and Jax start to wonder what’s going on out there in the woods with the police investigation?
Carly and Jax are going to be expecting Nelle’s body to be found, but it sure seems like the police would have found the body by now…that is, if there’s a body to be found.
Nelle might well have survived the fall, and we suspect that she could come back to haunt Carly and the rest of the Corinthos/Quartermaine clan at a later date. Chloe Lanier, who portrays Nelle, has left the show for now, but you know how it goes with soap deaths and presumed deaths. Nelle could come back later!
But there is something that GH viewers know – during Nelle’s scuffle with Carly in the woods, Nelle lost her half-heart pendant. The necklace apparently came off, and viewers saw a brief glimpse of the pendant lying on the ground in the woods as an officer combed the area.
The officer didn’t see the pendant, but it could certainly be found at a later date as the search continues.
Of course, there is another possibility here, and that’s that the pendant could be found by someone who’s in the know about what that pendant means….namely by Jax.
We could see a situation where Carly and Jax start to worry about why Nelle’s body hasn’t been found – after all, they’re sure that Nelle is dead at the bottom of that cliff. It would be just like Jax to head out to the woods under the cloak of darkness and snoop around.
So, what if Jax goes snooping around and runs across that half-heart pendant? Jax will know exactly what the pendant is, since he’s been up close and personal with Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) half of the pendant for a while now.
Jax will then have a decision to make – what does he tell Nina now? Should he tell her about his find, or would it be better to keep the truth from Nina about (a) who her daughter is, and (b) that her daughter is almost certainly dead.
We’ll see what happens here, but we suspect that Jax could find himself in a real moral dilemma where he knows the truth about who Nina’s daughter is, then he keeps that information from Nina.
Of course, someday the truth will come out and Jax’s actions will be a relationship killer for him and Nina, but Jax will of course think he’s justified in protecting Nina right now.
