General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one ABC soap star’s return stint has come to an end. When Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) popped back up in Port Charles many GH fans were thrilled. It seemed like Britt might stick around after she scored a job at GH, but that job just fell through. Britt took a better job in Boston and has already headed out of PC.
Naturally, that was disappointing news for those of us who love Britt! Why couldn’t Britt just stay in Port Charles offscreen when she wasn’t needed? After all, we don’t see characters like Felix DuBois (Marc Anthony Samuel) or even Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) very often, but it’s nice to know they’re still in town. There’s really no need to send someone all the way to Boston.
Perhaps GH writers just felt it’d be easier to write Britt out entirely since Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was heading offscreen, too. Britt made it clear her that fling with Julian Jerome (William deVry) was over, so there’s not much left for her to do right now. Of course, that could change down the road!
On Twitter, Kelly Thiebaud sent out a Twitter message to clear things up and offer some hope for Britt’s next comeback. The General Hospital star tweeted, “Hiiii! Just wanted to clarify some things!
Unfortunately yes i dont hve anymore scenes on #GH at the moment, BUT that could all change once productions starts bck up. I guess if y’all want more of #TheBritch u will hve to harass Frank and the #GH writers,it’s up to them.”
Thiebaud explained a bit more in a follow-up tweet. “Currently i am not on any shows as a series reg,” Thiebaud said. “I’m just bouncing around where the work takes me. Thank you for welcoming me again back to Port Charles. Always a fun visit and let’s hope there is more to come. Love you all! Stay safe”
It’s good to know Thiebaud’s open to another stint at some point. Britt’s latest return brought a refreshing change of pace and a little extra love in the afternoon! Having Britt and Julian hook up was certainly unexpected, but those are the kind of surprises that make soaps fun and entertaining.
