General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) made an intriguing statement during a crucial faceoff with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). GH fans know Nelle went to war with Carly over the past. After pointing out that Carly saw her when she came to visit Frank Benson (James Patrick Stuart in fake flashbacks), Nelle argued that they were supposed to be sisters.
Of course, this serves as a great setup for Nelle being revealed as Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) long-lost daughter. Nelle felt like Carly should’ve been there to take care of her – and now Nina will be able to slide in that nurturing role.
Even so, it’s interesting that GH chose to focus on this sister angle. That’s especially true since Nelle has an actual sister who could be brought back in the picture.
Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) was killed off, but so what? Any death can be undone on a soap, and Kiki’s would indeed be a good one to undo. Once all the mother-daughter drama plays out between Nina and Nelle, General Hospital should think about bringing Kiki back from the dead and giving Nelle some sister issues, too.
Instead of getting a loving sister who had her back, Nelle would likely get one who hated her guts – at least initially! Kiki would certainly side with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) when it comes to any parenting decisions regarding Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
You can bet Kiki would give Julian Jerome (William deVry) an earful for marrying Nelle, too.
It’d be fun to watch Kiki come back on the scene and get caught up on everything she’s missed. There’d certainly be a lot to cover! Kiki would naturally reconnect with her mother, Ava Jerome (Maura West), but it’s Kiki and Nelle’s sister link that would make this return particularly timely.
Nelle thought she wanted a sister once upon a time, but maybe she should be careful what she wishes for! Kiki might be Nelle’s worst nightmare instead of a sibling dream come true. Nina and Ava are on better terms these days, but the peace wouldn’t last if their daughters were fighting. Sides would be taken and more conflict would rev up.
