General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that some major character deaths are ahead on new episodes, so we should talk about what’s coming up. There are definitely a couple of characters who are goners – and even more who are at risk! Let’s consider which characters will be killed off and which ones are at least in the danger zone.
For starters, there’s the obvious looming death: Mike Corbin (Max Gail). Mike’s reaching the end of the road, so it doesn’t seem like the show can stretch this storyline much longer.
Once General Hospital’s back with new episodes, GH will have no choice but to kill Mike off. It’s the inevitable conclusion to this gripping Alzheimer’s story, so Mike’s loved ones will have to say a tough goodbye.
Next, we’ve got Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). From the moment Cyrus debuted and dared to challenge Sonny, it seemed like it’d be a battle to the death! Sonny won’t be the loser of this fatal war, so that leaves Cyrus. It may take some time to get to this character’s demise, but Cyrus’ death seems like a done deal.
Of course, there are other potential deaths that aren’t as certain – ones that are still worth considering. Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) appears to be gearing up for a drug addiction, so this could end badly for her. There are even some behind-the-scenes hints that might spell trouble.
Before the shutdown, Soap Opera Digest released a blind item about a deadly sendoff for one character. Another blind item said one soap was struggling to decide whether to keep a new character or cut that character loose. It’s possible any or all of that could apply to Sasha, who’s still a newer character in Port Charles.
Regardless, Sasha has no family ties in Port Charles – and no love interest without Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). There are other possibilities like Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
Unless GH can find some sort of purpose for Sasha to serve, she may be more valuable dead than alive. Sasha’s potential demise would certainly bring a good dose of drama.
Naturally, we can’t forget about Peter August (Wes Ramsey), who’s been written into a terrible corner. Redemption is possible for Peter, but it seems like tons of fans just want him gone. Could Peter finally pay a deadly price for his criminal behavior?
It’s an option to consider since GH already threw Peter’s redemption away once before.
However, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is pregnant with Peter’s baby, so that leaves things up in the air. Peter’s actions may get worse as he protects his shot at fatherhood, so it’ll be interesting to see all the drama this is building to.
GH might let Peter turn his life around, but he could at least face a brush with death first. It’d serve Peter right under the circumstances!
