General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is currently in a terrible predicament. As GH viewers know, Maxie has been taken aboard The Haunted Star by Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes), and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has just burst onto the scene.
Alex and Anna each have their weapons drawn, and it’s a major standoff that could have a very tragic resolution.
Of course, a complicating factor here is that Maxie is pregnant, which puts her a great risk in this situation. It’s a terrible thought, but if Maxie gets caught in the crossfire, then both she and the baby could be in harm’s way.
And even if Maxie doesn’t get shot, the stress of the situation could lead to a terrible situation – even a situation in which Maxie loses the baby.
Well, if the show does go in that direction, then Maxie and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) are going to be absolutely devastated. Maxie would of course be traumatized, but we suspect that Peter might get some very dark and disturbing impulses if it turns out that his baby doesn’t make it.
After all, Peter’s going to have to deal with a lot of revelations once the standoff between Alex and Anna ends.
First off, Peter’s going to have to be told that Anna isn’t his mother and that he’s actually the product of two evil people – Alex and César Faison (Anders Hove).
Peter’s been under the impression that Anna is his saving grace, and for him to learn that Alex is his mother will probably be gutting for him.
And then, Peter will learn that Anna has known about Alex possibly being his mother for months on end. If Alex ends up dying in the shootout, and/or if Maxie and the baby are hurt or the baby is lost, then Peter may well blame Anna for bringing all of this on.
Peter could rightly argue that if Anna would have just told him the truth about Alex from the get-go, then he could have protected Maxie and the baby.
In fact, assuming that the worst happens and Maxie loses the baby as a result of what goes down on the boat, we could see Peter totally turn on Anna and blame her for the death of his child.
Peter will probably be furious with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) as well, but it won’t be the same sort of betrayal that he’d surely feel with Anna.
It will be interesting to see what ends up happening on The Haunted Star, and we’ve got our fingers crossed that Maxie and Peter’s baby ends up being ok.
But given that Maxie’s currently in a dangerous situation and that Peter’s totally in love with that baby, we’d say there’s at least a chance that the baby could be lost.
