General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) pregnancy could be at risk. GH fans know Maxie was taken aback after examining her calendar. Once the ABC soap returns with new episodes, Maxie will confirm she’s indeed pregnant with Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) baby.
Of course, a lot can happen between now and that baby’s birth! General Hospital spoilers hint that this pregnancy announcement will lead to the climax of Peter’s storyline. Peter’s been able to keep tons of terrible secrets from Maxie, but he’s bound to make mistakes as we build to this story’s conclusion.
Sooner or later, Maxie will have a disturbing realization. Proof will inevitably come to light that points to all Peter’s transgressions – and there are certainly plenty of them!
Peter was far more involved in the memory-mapping project than he let on. He also made sure Drew Cain (Billy Miller) was presumed dead in a plane crash and tried to have Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) stabbed to death.
Later, Peter called for Andre and Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) demise before stopping the hitman. Maxie praised Peter as a hero without ever knowing he was behind the threat. Of course, Peter also framed Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) for his crimes, so that was an especially low blow.
Maxie loves Liesl and will be livid that Peter would let James West’s (Caleb and Kyler Ends) grandmother be locked up for something Peter did. Peter has told lie after lie to keep Maxie out of the loop.
From Peter’s connection to Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) to his recent “distraction” for Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), there’s just so much Maxie doesn’t know.
What happens once Maxie finally realizes Peter isn’t the man she thought he was? Maxie truly believed Peter had changed, but it’s clear that he hasn’t. Although Peter may have a conscience at times, that doesn’t erase all the awful things he’s done and people he’s hurt. Maxie will be furious and crushed once the rug’s pulled out from under her.
Will the shock and horror of it all hit Maxie too hard? It’s easy to imagine Maxie being rushed to GH after severe pain. There may be some miscarriage fears following Peter’s exposure. Maxie will already be losing her love since she’ll surely want nothing to do with Peter, but will she lose her baby, too?
