General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) marriage should bring the pair even closer. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had a nice father-son chat with Michael before the wedding went down. As someone who found true love and built a family he adores, Sonny wants Michael to have it all, too.
Since Michael only considers Willow a friend Sonny was concerned about his son entering a loveless marriage. Although Sonny suggested Michael should be with someone he’s passionate about, Michael was completely secure in his choice.
He trusts Willow and cares about her, so there’s a solid foundation to build on. Plus, both Willow and Michael adore Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
However, we’d say Sonny doesn’t have anything to worry about! Michael has been pretty nonchalant about this whole marrying Willow thing. He honestly didn’t even seem that broken up about his split from Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) – not like Willow was over her split from Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
It seems like Willow’s feelings for Chase were far more intense than Michael’s feelings for Sasha. Michael’s just happily hopping into new marriage mode without giving Sasha much thought at all. He was smiling genuinely and seemed perfectly content to be marrying Willow at their wedding.
Michael can’t object to a sweet, honest and beautiful wife whose priority is Wiley. That’s pretty much the ideal woman for Michael, even if he’s not quite there in the love department. Of course, Michael seems well on his way to falling hard!
Based on the looks Michael was giving Willow before and during the ceremony, his feelings may run deeper than he realizes. It’ll be unbelievably easy for Michael to fall head over heels for a gal like Willow.
It’s Willow who looked like a scared deer in headlights. Michael seemed to enjoy their first kiss as newlyweds, but Willow was left looking rattled and unsure about how to feel about any of this.
The one thing Willow and Michael can agree on is this is best for Wiley. Other than that, there could be some differences in how they feel moving forward. Michael’s a couple steps ahead of Willow in terms of when he’ll likely fall madly in love with her. GH fans could see Michael pine for his own wife if Willow doesn’t feel the same way!
Willow’s bound to think about what might’ve been with Chase, so that could hinder the development of her relationship with Michael. That’s especially true if Willow finds out the truth about the fake affair. Willow may realize Chase only pushed her away to do what’s best for Wiley and ultimately Willow, too.
That could make it even harder for Michael to win Willow over, but there’s a good chance he’ll try! General Hospital spoilers say this “Millow” love story should be an interesting one. There’ll be some complex feelings and tough obstacles, so we’ll all be eager to watch it play out!
