General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, August 17 – Ava's Revenge for Portrait – Carly’s Celebration – Jax Half-Heart Pendant News

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, August 17, tease that we’ll see the aftermath of that shocking portrait reveal. When the portrait was finally unveiled, all the guests looked confused and quite stunned. Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) certainly appeared baffled, so this doesn’t seem to be the same portrait he painted.

Ava Cassadine (Maura West) looked rather betrayed, but she might end up pointing the finger at Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) soon enough. Was Ava’s portrait switched out for another one? Could it be Kiki’s portrait that was unveiled instead? That might explain why everyone looked mostly rattled – and it would fit with all the Kiki talk that’s been going on.

Regardless, Ava will declare that she’s going to remedy the situation permanently. She’ll seem angry and determined, but Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will think Ava and her toxic nature are the problem.

Liz will accuse Ava of sabotaging herself and will warn Nikolas that he needs to be careful. Elizabeth will feel like Ava could destroy any good that’s left in Nikolas, so he’ll have to chew on that.

On a lighter note, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will be ready to celebrate on Monday’s GH episode. General Hospital spoilers say Carly will propose a toast.

At the Metro Court, Carly will raise a glass along with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). “Here’s to everyone that made it possible,” Carly says cheerfully in Monday’s preview video.

Carly will undoubtedly be talking about Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) custody win. Now that Michael and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) are free to raise Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) together, Carly will be relieved.

She’ll probably argue that they can all put Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) behind them, but GH fans know that isn’t true – especially not for Nina!

Jax will receive a crucial phone call on Monday, most likely from that expert jeweler who’s set to offer answers about Nina’s half-heart pendant. Will Jax get information that could lead to the truth about Nina’s biological daughter?

We’re definitely getting closer to the big reveal, but we’d say Nina’s true moment of realization will come through eventually seeing the necklace on Nelle’s neck.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will pull Peter August (Wes Ramsey) aside and admit she has something to tell him. Maxie will seem ready to deliver the news of her pregnancy, but will she go through with it?

It doesn’t look like it since GH spoilers also say Maxie will have a change of heart on Monday.

However, we should note that a major announcement’s coming up for Maxie by mid-week. It sounds like Maxie will hold off just a bit longer, but Peter should learn he’s going to be a dad soon enough.

In the meantime, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will seemingly comfort Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) – at least in his own way. “There’s nothing you could’ve done to stop me,” Valentin insists.

Perhaps Valentin will argue that Lucy shouldn’t blame herself since he would’ve scored control one way or another. Whatever the case, Valentin may suggest they shouldn’t let this serve as a hurdle to the great work they’re doing at Deception.

Although Valentin had ulterior motives for backing the company, he does have faith in the work they’re doing there.

Next, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will catch up with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Chase will seem chipper as he talks about everything working out like it was supposed to.

Perhaps Chase will try to convince Finn that he’s OK with Michael and Willow’s marriage since they scored custody.

However, Finn knows his brother awfully well and may sense that he’s in deeper pain than he’s letting on. On the other hand, Finn might be apologetic about shutting Chase out of his life for so long.

Since Chase and Finn feel like real brothers now, that may be what Chase thinks worked out OK in the end.

Anna and Finn will also continue to bicker about the topic of whether Finn should invite his father, Gregory Chase (James Read), to the wedding. Knowing how persuasive Anna can be, this is an argument she’s bound to win sooner or later.

As for Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson), he’ll bump into Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) and will most likely get updates on all her family drama. Brook Lynn can usually count on “Dusty” to lend a sympathetic ear, so we should see some moments of bonding on Monday.
