General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) is in for a shock as GH resumes the action in court. The ABC soap is delivering new episodes starting Monday, August 3, so let’s talk about what Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is going to say on the stand.
To refresh your memory, Nelle pushed Nina to step up as a character witness for her in court. Nina looked uneasy as she hugged Nelle, who fully expects Nina to offer her support and help her win the judge over. Although Nina wants to believe Nelle’s capable of change, there’s a lot at stake here.
This really boils down to Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) well-being and whether Nina can live with herself if she’s wrong.
When Nina took the stand and swore to tell the truth, Nelle smiled – clearly assuming Nina would back her up. It looks like Nina’s in for a rude awakening when her character witness turns against her instead.
General Hospital spoilers say Nelle will be in distress on Monday, August 3. Something will happen that leaves Nelle taken aback and quite upset. Meanwhile, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will find Nina’s strength impressive.
Since Jax didn’t think Nina should support Nelle, he wouldn’t be impressed if Nina went through with supporting her newest employee.
Jax wants Nina to put Wiley first – that’s what he’d consider true strength. It sounds like Nina will tell the truth just as she swore to. Nina’s truth may be that although she wants to believe Nelle’s capable of change, that’s not something she can guarantee.
Perhaps Nina will admit that Nelle’s been a good employee, but she can’t ignore the long list of terrible things Nelle’s done either.
Nina has no idea if Nelle can be a decent mom to Wiley, so that’s certainly an admission she could make. Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) might even get Nina to confess concerns about Wiley’s safety.
Nina knows Nelle’s a wildcard and may have to say so. It sounds like Nelle will be furious by the time Nina steps off the stand!
