General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, December 14 Recap – Julian Escapes Sonny’s Wrath – Alexis Arrested – Sasha Deception Trouble

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, December 14, reveal that Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) tried to determine what to do at the WSB complex in Geneva.

Scott was upset because Dr. Warren Kirk (Jamison Jones) had been Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) only hope, but he defended punching Dr. Kirk. Obrecht said that she’d figure out what to do with the body and that Scott should go get Franco out of the complex.

Scott went out into the hallway and took Franco back to their hotel. Soon, there was a knock on the door, and it turned out to be Obrecht, who took Franco completely by surprise.

Obrecht said that Dr. Kirk was no longer available, and that Franco’s fate rested entirely in her hands. Franco was distraught, since he had put all his faith in Dr. Kirk. Scott played along.

Oberect said that she had looked at Dr. Kirk’s file on Franco’s case, and she was certain that she could help Franco. Franco said that he had treated Obrecht terribly, but Obrecht said that she was inclined toward forgiveness and that she could treat Franco.

Franco described his symptoms and the voice he was hearing, explaining that it could be a voice from one of Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) memories…and that it belonged to Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

Back in Port Charles, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) rode the elevator together at the Metro Court. Brando and Sasha decided to stay out of each other’s way.

Sasha found Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) at a table and quickly learned that the Deception lawyers had deemed her to be a liability because of her drug use.

Maxie listed a laundry list of things that Sasha would have to do, which included random and regular drug tests as well as some other actions. Sasha realized that Maxie didn’t trust her, and Maxie said that she didn’t trust the drugs.

Maxie refused to let drugs destroy someone that she cared about, and eventually Sasha agreed to all the terms.

Maxie then said that she wanted Sasha to get ahead of the story and the gossip and go public with her tale, which Sasha refused to do. Maxie urged Sasha to consider it and to sign the contract, which Sasha did.

Sasha, clearly upset by this interaction, stepped away from the table while Brando watched from across the room.

At another table, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) talked with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), who had some questions about the overage on lab expenses at GH.

Cyrus explained that the hospital lab had developed a new pain medication, but Britt balked at this, saying that it could ruin GH’s reputation if doctors were financially incentivized to develop drugs.

Cyrus said that it would only add to the hospital’s prestige, and Britt said that her priority was for patients first. Cyrus said he agreed, so they saw eye to eye. Britt reiterated that she was in the business of saving lives before she took off and left Cyrus alone.

Soon, Sasha approached Cyrus saying that she owed him an apology.

Before Sasha could get very far with Cyrus, Brando rushed up and told Sasha to get out of here. Brando then told Cyrus that he threw Sasha out of his place last night after she searched the place for drugs to get revenge.

Cyrus found this disappointing and he dismissed Sasha with a warning about being out of her depth. Cyrus thanked Brando for his loyalty.

Back at Maxie’s table, Britt sat down, noting that she had received a wedding invitation to Maxie and Peter’s big day. Britt wondered if she could see James West (Owen and Curtis Rufca), since he was her last ink to Nathan West (Ryan Paevey).

Maxie said that she’d think about it, and the conversation quickly turned to Obrecht and how she’d feel about Maxie and Peter’s wedding.

At the coffee shop, Sasha sat upset. Soon, Brando called, and Sasha fumed about him ratting her out to Cyrus earlier. Brando asked if Sasha was alone, but then he got interrupted by Cyrus and the call was cut short.

Out along the side of the road near Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) house, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) had Alexis in the driver’s seat of her car. Tracy called 911 and reported that her friend was driving drunk.

A few minutes later, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) responded. Tracy pointed out Alexis in her car to Chase, and Chase went and woke Alexis up.

Alexis came to pretty quickly, and she insisted that she wasn’t driving. Tracy then lied and said that she took Alexis home and that Alexis left to go get more vodka.

Chase asked if Alexis had ever experienced lapses of memory after drinking. “Oh, Alexis, did you black out again?” Tracy said. Alexis said that she had three drinks, which wasn’t enough to black out.

Chase wanted to do a field sobriety test, which Alexis declined. Chase took Alexis’ license and put her under arrest. Tracy asked if there was anyone that Alexis wanted her to call, and Alexis said, “Don’t bother – no one cares about me, anyway.”

In an alley in New York City, Julian Jerome (William deVry) asked Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) if he could explain some things before Sonny killed him. “You can try,” Sonny growled.

Julian said that he had done everything for Lucas Jones (Matt Trudeau). Sonny asked what Cyrus had on him, and Julian got impatient, yelling at Sonny to come on and shoot him.

“Or I could take you to the police station,” Sonny said. “The information you have is the only thing keeping you alive.” Suddenly, some guy in a ski mask came along and appeared to shoot Julian, or he missed, and Julian went down anyway.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) came along and there was a shootout in which the ski mask guy was shot and killed.

Once the shootout was over, Julian was nowhere to be found. Jason took the ski mask off the shooter and he was no one that he or Sonny knew. “We don’t have to guess who sent him,” Sonny said.

From there, Sonny and Jason went to a bar where they noted that the shooter was gunning for Julian. Jason said that Julian never should have gotten involved with Cyrus in the first place. “If Julian doesn’t give up Cyrus, I’m going to kill him – not you – I’ll pull the trigger,” Sonny said.
