General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, February 3, reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) reunited with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) in the ER. He lamented about how the trip with Mike Corbin (Max Gail) went well until the shooting happened, and Carly shocked Sonny by telling him that Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) was alive.
Meanwhile, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) talked with Brando in the exam area. She noted that she had tried to call him on several occasions, and Brando insisted that she tell him how he got mixed up with Sonny.
Just then, Sonny walked in and ordered Gladys out, and he addressed Brando directly. Sonny said that his family was ambushed and nearly killed, so Brando needed to tell him why he was at the warehouse when it happened.
Brando said that he didn’t know anything about the ambush, and that he went to the warehouse rather than Sonny’s home because he thought he might not get a good reception just showing up at the house.
Brando said that he saw Gladys’ posts on social media and wanted to find out what she was doing in Port Charles. He noted that he saw pictures of Gladys with some kid – her grandson – but he never had any children.
Sonny deflected the question and asked Brando where he had been before he came to Port Charles, and that turned out to be Chicago.
Brando again asked about the kid in the pictures and what it all had to do with Sonny. Sonny simply said that now that Brando was here, that he’d get the best care possible, and that he should just rest.
Out in the waiting area, Carly wondered why Gladys lied about Brando being dead. Gladys explained that Brando was “dead to her” and that when he came back from the war he wasn’t himself and he got mixed up with some bad people.
Because the truth was embarrassing, Gladys thought it was easier to say he was dead. Carly confronted her with the photo she found in Brando’s things, and Gladys was glad to see that Brando had found her on social media.
However, Carly remained skeptical about Gladys’ story and she questioned why Gladys had shut Brando out of her life in the first place. Gladys claimed that she already explained why, but Carly felt that there was definitely more to this story. Sonny then approached and blasted Gladys for lying to him.
Next, at the Corinthos estate, Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) worried about the effect that Brando’s return would have on him, and he asked Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) if he’d be sent back to Turkey.
Michael assured him that Sonny would handle everything. Michael then went to check on Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) who was outside and informed her that they needed to stop seeing each other.
Back inside, Dev approached Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and asked if she was ok. Josslyn said she was fine, thanks to Michael and Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson).
Joss then realized that Dev was really scared for her, and Dev said that he wished he could take back how he reacted after their kiss. But Josslyn said that after everything that’s happened, the kiss was “so important.” Dev looked shattered.
Meanwhile, at the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) argued with Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier), who showed up at the door with her suitcase and vision board. Nelle insisted that Michael invited her to live at the mansion, which Brook Lynn didn’t buy.
They argued for a while, until Nelle threatened to go back to Brad Cooper’s (Parry Shen) place where Wiley Cooper-Jones (Theo and Erik Olson) is. Brook Lynn then realized why Michael wanted Nelle at the mansion – to keep him away from Wiley.
After more bickering, Nelle sweetly tried to make friends with Brook Lynn, who wasn’t having any of it and called her out on trying to bond.
At the hospital, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) confronted Brad about his judgment in allowing Nelle to be around Wiley. This irritated Brad, and the two argued about Brad’s parenting choices.
Things got pretty heated between them as they went back-and-forth about what’s best for Wiley. Brad got very agitated and ranted about everyone butting into his life, which Willow couldn’t understand.
Brad then accused Willow about fantasizing about raising Wiley, which she denied. She then turned the tables and pressed him about Nelle, wondering why he was always protecting her.
Willow yelled that Brad was having a breakdown and needed help, but Brad yelled back that he was going to care for his son alone, and that there was nothing Willow could do about it. He then yelled at Willow that she was fired.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) visited an unconscious Laura Collins (Genie Francis). He spoke to his mother, saying that he wasted three years trying to get revenge on Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) when he should have spent the time with her and Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel).
Nikolas lamented about how he was a vengeful greedy man, and that without her forgiveness, he’s without hope. Laura then slowly opened her eyes and told him that she’ll always love him.
On the Corinthos patio, Michael stressed that he had to keep Sasha from his father’s enemies and that they had to split, but Sasha wasn’t having any of that. She insisted that it was her choice to be with him, and they started arguing.
Finally, Sasha asked him why he was trying to protect her, and Michael blurted out, “because I love you!”
Sasha then reciprocated the sentiment and they kissed, only to be interrupted by Michael’s phone. It was Nelle, calling to say that Brook Lynn was kicking her out of the mansion.
Michael talked to Brook Lynn and told her to give Nelle a room. Brook Lynn promptly put Nelle in the room next to Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot), which Nelle scoffed at.
In the ER. Sonny told Gladys that she was going to tell Brando that some lady showed up and claimed that Brando was Dev’s father, and that if she ever mentioned that he’s protecting Dev, she’d regret it.
Gladys took off to go see Brando, and Sonny and Carly privately agreed that they don’t trust either Gladys or Brando. Sonny said that he wasn’t going home just yet, as he had to find out who’s after their family.
With Brando, Gladys tried to make him comfortable, but Brando wanted to talk. He grumped that Sonny had treated him like a suspect, and he demanded to know who the kid is that Gladys says is her grandson. “Your son, honey,” she said.
