General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the ABC soap is all set to make a big comeback. Earlier this year, Nathan Varni revealed in April 2019 that he was no longer overseeing GH for ABC’s programming department. However, Varni still supports the show and recently offered confirmation on the return of new episodes.
“No longer involved but am happy to see #gh is going to return in a few weeks!” Varni tweeted. “I’ll be watching and I hope you will too! Let’s all tune in to show the world that we want this series and daytime dramas to continue airing for many more decades to come!! Pls support #gh 8-3-20!!”
It’s great that Varni’s willing to speak out and help generate some buzz about the return of new GH episodes starting Monday, August 3. Although that doesn’t give the cast and crew very long to get those new episodes ready, everyone will give their all behind the scenes!
The show seems to have held back some things they shot previously, so that’ll help as they prepare to fill airtime.
Varni’s right about tuning in and supporting the soap opera genre. It’s important for GH to come back strong in the ratings, so they’ll hopefully deliver some good drama and make this must-see TV. General Hospital left off with some shockers, so many viewers are excited to see the show’s next chapter.
“I’ll definitely be watching,” one fan said in reply to Varni’s tweet. “They left off with a great cliffhanger.” Another viewer gushed, “August 3 will be a great GH day!!!!!!!!!!! Looking so forward to it!!!!!!!!” “Can’t wait for new shows,” said one more fan. “After watching soaps for 50 yrs have no intention of stopping now!”
Of course, the biggest stories involve the custody case outcome and the revelation that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) is Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) biological daughter. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is also pregnant with Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) baby, so that’s sure to bring drama.
Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) is keeping her one-night stand with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) a secret from TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow). We’ve also got Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) Alzheimer’s arc to wrap up, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) still has a war going on with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
GH will address all these storylines and more on new episodes starting August 3. We’ll provide updates as other GH news rolls in.
