General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) will put some serious effort into this custody battle. Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) insisted the best Nelle could hope for is shared custody, which irritated Nelle. She’s been brimming with confidence in her faceoffs with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), so she wasn’t pleased to learn the odds aren’t in her favor on full custody.
However, Nelle will take steps to improve those odds. She’s already asked Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to testify on her behalf and will soon ask Julian Jerome (William deVry) as well. It looks like Nina will agree out of the kindness in her heart while Julian’s forced into it through blackmail.
General Hospital spoilers say Nelle will also shock the courtroom with an announcement. That’s led to GH buzz about Nelle possibly marrying Julian, especially since other info points to Nelle counteracting Michael’s strategy. Since Michael’s about to marry Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), it’s easy to imagine Nelle forcing Julian to become her husband.
Regardless, Nelle will get her money’s worth once Martin rips the Corinthos clan to shreds in court! Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) credibility will take some serious hits thanks to good old “Marty.” He’ll leave the judge wondering if Carly can be trusted based on the sound of things.
As for Michael, he won’t come out looking so squeaky clean either! General Hospital spoilers say Martin will find plenty of ways to drag Michael through the mud. He’ll make Michael look terrible, so Michael will scramble to defend himself. It’s clear that things will really start falling apart on Michael’s end.
Nelle will also give a dramatic performance for the history books. Meryl Streep would be proud! Nelle will turn the waterworks on and should be wearing that NOT waterproof mascara Martin requested. She’ll look like devoted mom who’s crushed by the big, bad Corinthos family and their evil attempts to steal her child.
To be fair, Nelle might’ve been more agreeable if this had been handled differently. Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) surgery wasn’t an emergency procedure.
If Nelle had been given a day or two to come around, she might’ve done just that. Instead, Carly locked Nelle on the roof and forged her signature. Nelle’s parental rights were completely ignored.
What if Nelle had locked Michael on the roof and made life-altering medical decisions about Wiley for him? Carly wouldn’t like that much, now would she? Later, Carly’s version of a compromise was giving Michael sole custody and Nelle visitation.
What kind of compromise is that?! If Nelle had been offered shared custody, she might not have felt the need to seek full in the end.
Nelle is definitely fighting harder because of how she’s been treated by Carly and her crew. Martin will play dirty for Nelle, so there’ll be some tough blows and true nastiness going on in that courtroom.
Can Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) undo the damage or will Martin destroy her case? General Hospital spoilers are starting to swing in Nelle’s favor somewhat, so she may at least get shared custody.
After all, that’d force Michael and Nelle to keep clashing over Wiley, which would bring more opportunities for drama. A big Wiley win could be looming for Nelle!
