General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the next two weeks tease that May encores will continue. GH is gearing up to deliver new episodes soon, so they’re replaying some more recent drama as we build to those. With that in mind, here’s what General Hospital fans can expect – starting with the week of July 20-24.
First, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) worries about Nelle Benson Archer’s (Chloe Lanier) request. Nelle’s hoping she can count on Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in court, but Jax is concerned about Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) paying the price if Nina supports Nelle.
Over with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), she contemplates whether or not marrying Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is the right choice. Michael talks to Willow about their mutual love for Wiley and their strong friendship. It’s decided that they can still build a solid marriage on all that, so they prepare to wed.
Thanks to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Michael and Willow don’t have to take a midnight trip to Vegas. With Sonny’s help, they pull off a sweet ceremony in the living room of the Quartermaine living room.
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) fills Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) in on the wedding before she leaves to officiate, so nearby Nelle gets the scoop, too.
Lucy eventually leads Michael and Willow through their vows. Once they’re pronounced husband and wife, Michael kisses his new wife. As for Nelle, she gets an idea during a chat with Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight).
To make sure they playing field is level, Nelle decides she’ll force Julian Jerome (William deVry) into marriage – and she’s got the leverage to do if after overhearing his secrets.
During the week of July 27-31, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) oversleeps and infuriates Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Sasha’s late for her Face of Deception photoshoot – and when she finally shows up, she looks terrible.
Maxie’s freaking out, but Nina has faith in her to handle things. Thanks to a spin in the makeup chair and a vial of drugs, Sasha’s able to tackle the modeling gig.
In court, Michael and Willow are hopeful when Nelle’s running late. If Nelle doesn’t show, Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) points out that the judge could rule in their favor. Suddenly, Nelle bursts in the courtroom wearing a wedding dress. The bride’s got a bouquet and flashes her ring as she suggests the most incredible thing just happened.
After Nelle reveals Julian as her new hubby, Martin’s furious and wonders what she was thinking. Nevertheless, Nelle’s counting on Martin to pull off a win for her. She clutches her half-heart pendant necklace as Martin fights for Nelle’s victory.
At the Metro Court, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) tries to charm Ava Cassadine (Maura West). It almost works until Cyrus mentions his name! Ava knows exactly who Cyrus is and refuses to shake his hand out of disgust.
Later, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) confronts Julian about his new marriage to Nelle. Sonny wants to know what kind of dirt Nelle has and demands that the marriage be annulled. Julian refuses, but Sonny reiterates that his enemy needs to do what needs to be done – before it’s too late!
Nina also gets updates on Nelle’s new relationship status and assumes blackmail was involved. Nelle insists they simply made a deal and gets confirmation that Nina will come testify on her behalf.
At Turning Woods, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) shares a tender moment with Sonny, who’s struggling to decide about Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) DNR. Jason tears up and thinks Mike would support whatever Sonny wants.
Back in the courtroom, Carly takes the stand followed by Michael. Martin tries to act like Michael’s marriage to Willow was just for show, but Michael insists it was an act of love for Wiley.
When it’s Willow’s turn on the stand, Martin gets her to admit she was fired for not respecting the wishes of her students’ parents. Martin questions if Willow might disregard Nelle or even Michael’s wishes.
However, Diane notes that Willow has a glowing letter of recommendation and an excellent review from her new employer. At Crimson, Nina’s still on the fence about whether to stand up for Nelle in court. She tells Jax that if she doesn’t do it, no one else will.
Jax points out that if Nina’s wrong about Nelle being able to change for the better, she’ll blame herself for what happens to Wiley.
Meanwhile, Maxie nearly faints and struggles to eat her lunch later. A quick look at her calendar rattles Maxie, who obviously assumes she may be pregnant.
Maxie decides she’ll take Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) advice about making an appointment with her doctor. Back with Sasha, she’s given another drug vial for the next time she needs a boost.
Just outside the courtroom, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) slaps Julian over the Nelle marriage news. Julian is informed that he’s dead to Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) and Sam’s backing him up on that.
As for Nina, she takes the stand swears to tell the truth. Nina seems awfully nervous about the testimony to come!
