General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) may not be able to stick to their agreement. In an upcoming episode, Nik promises to sign Ava’s post-nup. He just wants to make sure they’re clear on what’s expected first. Ava and Nikolas establish that they won’t sleep together, but they’ll be faithful.
Of course, that presents two opportunities where this marriage could go awry! The first one is the possibility that one or both of them could stray. It could cause some issues if Ava or Nikolas were unfaithful despite their agreement.
Nik would be especially upset by Ava’s betrayal since he doesn’t want to look weak – and he feels like a cheating wife would convey that image.
However, we’d say that doesn’t seem to be where this GH storyline’s headed. Ava hasn’t shown romantic interest in anyone lately – at least anyone besides her new husband! There was definitely a little sizzle going on when they kissed following their marriage vows. That goes for Nikolas’ end of things, too.
There’s a chance Nik will develop an interest in someone else on canvas, but he’s pretty focused on Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) takedown right now. That’s exactly why this marriage storyline will work out well.
It gives Ava and Nik a natural reason to spend time together. With that in mind, it seems far more likely that they’ll break the no sleeping together rule.
General Hospital spoilers say there’s bound to be more clashing between Ava and Nikolas, but that may just rev up the chemistry between them. There’s a thin line between love and hate, but there’s an even thinner line between when hate’s too strong of a word.
Despite the mistakes they’ve both made against each other, Nikolas and Ava have mutual respect. They can connect – and it’s that connection that could lead them to consummate the marriage.
Will Ava and Nik surrender to temptation soon? General Hospital spoilers say this marriage will bring some curveballs they didn’t expect, so that may be one of them. The next one may be actually falling in love!
