General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may choose to support Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) in court. Nina was on the fence before she took the stand and swore to tell the truth, but she hasn’t shared anything yet. Could Nina’s opinion be swayed by a glimpse of Nelle’s half-heart pendant necklace?
If Nina gets an inkling that Nelle’s her biological daughter, she’ll certainly be thrown. It’s not like Nina can order up a DNA test while court’s in session, so she’ll just have to go on her instincts at first.
It’s easy to imagine Nina flashing back to significant bonding moments with Nelle. Nina won’t be able to confirm that Nelle is her daughter, but something deep inside her may tell her it’s true.
Instead of using her head and seeing the potential damage Nelle could do to Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), Nina may let her heart dictate what she does next. Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) warned that Nina should consider how she’ll feel if she supports Nelle and it all goes wrong. Will Nina regret backing Nelle up?
Nina sees the potential in Nelle and wants to give her another chance, but Nelle may not live up to Nina’s expectations. Although Nelle might care about Wiley on some level, she’s not emotionally equipped to love him like a good mother should. Nelle has no skills as a mom and seems to think of Wiley more like a possession or pet.
Nelle also views Wiley as a weapon that can be used to hurt Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and the rest of the Corinthos clan. There’s no denying that part of Nelle wants a victory so she can stick it to her GH enemies. Nelle hasn’t done anything to indicate she’s capable of being a decent mom yet.
What happens if Nina helps Nelle score joint or full custody? Will Nina witness a horror show and realize Nelle’s a terrible mother? Nina could easily face regrets about helping Nelle win in court.
If things get too bad, Nina may have to turn against her own biological daughter for the sake of her grandson! General Hospital fans know an innocent child like Wiley has to come first.
Nina might shift her loyalty to Michael and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) as the only ones responsible enough to care for Wiley. If Nelle screws this whole mom thing up, there could be major consequences. Nina might work to undo the damage she caused by supporting Nelle and cause a mother-daughter war in the process.
