General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ava Cassadine (Maura West) will enjoy some sweet moments with Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) on September 17. Ava doesn’t get as much time with her daughter as she’d like, so she tries to savor their visits together. Avery’s a special part of Ava’s life – perhaps even more so now that Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) is dead.
Ava wants to be there for Avery as she grows up and do things right this time around. Although Ava certainly isn’t perfect, it’s easy to see how much she adores Avery.
Their connection should be on display again soon, but what’s the reason for Ava and Avery’s upcoming scenes? Is this really just about showing Ava in mom mode or could there be more to the story?
It might be pushing it to call Ava and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) friends, but they’re sort of in the friendship zone at least. Nina and Ava found a way to make peace, so they’ve had times when they’ve been each other’s confidants.
That trend will likely continue on the months ahead, especially due to this Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) situation.
Ava has warned Nina to be careful when it comes to Jax. In Ava’s opinion, Carly’s always going to come first in Jax’s life. Once this whole Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) story unravels, there’s going to be trouble. Nina will eventually find out that Nelle’s her daughter.
She’ll also discover that Carly lost her grip on Nelle at the cliff’s edge and sold a bogus story to the cops with Jax’s help.
Nina may not even buy Carly’s version of events since Carly hated Nelle with a passion. GH fans may see Nina accuse Carly of shoving Nelle and causing a potentially deadly tumble. Regardless, General Hospital may find a way to tie all this in with Ava and Avery.
Carly fought hard to make sure Nelle didn’t get custody of Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson). Maybe Nina will urge Ava to use this cliff cover-up drama against Carly and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in retaliation.
Now that the show’s highlighting Ava and Avery’s bond, it might be a setup for Ava to relaunch a custody battle.
Nina might be sick and tired of Carly acting like she’s in charge of everyone else’s children. Since Nina will be distraught over what happened to Nelle, she’ll undoubtedly battle guilt over the Wiley custody chaos.
Perhaps Nina will feel like if Carly hadn’t been so pushy, Nelle wouldn’t have spiraled out of control.
Nina may feel the need to take a child away from the Corinthos clan for revenge, so it makes sense for her to work this Ava and Avery angle. Would Ava take the advice? We’ll provide updates as other GH news comes in.
