General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the walls may be closing in on Peter August (Wes Ramsey). It’s clear that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) has no intention of letting Peter get away with his crimes. Since Robert’s so determined to bring Peter down, there’s just no way for Peter to escape his comeuppance.
Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) also has a strong motive to ensure Peter’s downfall. He wants to protect Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) and James West (Caleb and Kyler Ends) from dark Peter’s damage.
Spinelli knows Peter’s capable of doing truly terrible things, so he certainly doesn’t want his daughter anywhere near the mayhem.
The same goes for Maxie and James, who doesn’t have his dad to watch out for him. Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) isn’t around to keep Maxie safe, so it’s nice that Robert and Spinelli are stepping up here.
General Hospital spoilers say Spinelli and Robert will cross paths in “Paxie’s” apartment on Monday, April 20. They’ll discuss why they’re both there, which is to hopefully find dirt on Peter.
Whether that plan works out or not, Peter’s downfall has to be imminent. It’s worth mentioning that GH made Peter look pretty sinister in a recent episode. Based on the shadows and overall shady vibe, the show seems to be embracing Peter as more of a villain instead of a grey character.
General Hospital offered up that lengthy montage about Peter and Maxie’s relationship, which did have some sympathetic Peter moments. However, that was more about inserting flashbacks to make episodes last longer during the COVID-19 aka coronavirus shutdown.
As far as the story goes, Peter continues to sink further into darkness. He made a troubling phone call to order a distraction for Robert, so that could bring more danger.
Maxie and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) have the wool pulled over their eyes, but that won’t be the case for much longer. Peter will inevitably face Anna and Maxie’s wrath once his horrible actions are exposed.
Is General Hospital building toward a grim fate for Peter? Will Peter ultimately be killed off? Time will tell, but Peter definitely isn’t going to have much left. He’ll lose the family he’s found with Anna and everyone he’s connected to through her. Peter will also lose the family he’s building with Maxie. What will Peter really have left?
Even if Peter could somehow get off the hook for his many crimes, who’s he going to share scenes with and why? General Hospital has written Peter into a corner, so it could be tough to find a way forward for him. However, anything is possible.
It’ll be interesting to see how things turn out for Peter after his life falls apart – especially since that’ll decide Wes Ramsey’s GH future.
