General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) seems to think he’s got all his ducks in a row right now. As GH viewers know, Peter recently planted evidence that framed Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) for his own crimes. Now Obrecht is sitting in jail and it looks like the charges against her could very well stick.
That means that Peter’s safe for now, but there’s something he doesn’t yet know, and that’s that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) recently paid Obrecht a visit in jail. Robert seems to be the only person who’s entertaining Obrecht’s allegation that Peter framed her.
Robert still has his doubts about Obrecht, but he’s willing to give her the benefit of the doubt if it means the chance to put Peter away.
Robert is seriously worried about Peter’s involvement with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), and he strongly suspects that Peter killed Drew Cain (Billy Miller) as well as the gunman who tried to take out Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and Andre Maddox (Anthony Washington) at GH.
Robert would like to prove to Anna that Peter is dangerous, so that she’ll open her eyes and eliminate him from her life altogether. Well, according to GH spoilers, Peter will soon find himself wishing that Robert had a distraction, which suggests that Robert isn’t going to let up on Peter any time soon.
It also suggests that Peter might be inclined to closely watch Robert, and that he could become aware that Robert has been visiting with Obrecht. That should give Peter cause for worry, as he knows that Robert will be inclined to believe that Obrecht is innocent.
And this will likely lead Peter to take action. We all know what Peter does when people get too close to the truth about him…he either plants evidence or someone gets put in harm’s way! And if Peter senses that Robert is getting too close to the truth from Obrecht, then it seems that either Robert or Obrecht could be Peter’s next target.
If Robert were to have an “unfortunate” accident, then that would certainly get him off of Peter’s case, but it would also be pretty risky for Peter to take out the acting District Attorney in Port Charles – especially since Peter would probably be the #1 suspect.
But what about Obrecht? It would be awfully convenient for Peter if Obrecht were to die before her trial. After all, at trial, Obrecht’s lawyers would do everything they could to discredit the evidence against her, and that would almost certainly involve arguing that Obrechet was set up.
Peter wouldn’t want all that to come out in the news, so it would be much easier on him if she were to suddenly be killed in jail. Peter could, for example, pay someone to kill Obrecht in what looks like a random act of jailhouse violence.
We’ll see if Peter actually goes that far, but it would be very advantageous for him if Obrecht were to disappear permanently before the evidence against her is scrutinized too thoroughly but with everyone believing she’s guilty.
