General Hospital (GH) spoilers preview for Monday, August 3, tease that we’ll see the long-awaited return of NEW episodes! This is a big day and many viewers are looking forward to it, so let’s dive right in. For starters, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will have a shouting match.
In Monday’s exciting GH preview, Ned booms that ELQ is at risk for a hostile takeover. Olivia may not agree with Ned’s plan to handle the crisis, but Ned’s in charge here. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) took a leave of absence and is too wrapped up in all this custody drama to care about any of this. Ned’s the one who’ll face backlash if his happens on his watch.
Of course, GH fans know Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is the one plotting to take over ELQ – and now Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) knows that, too. Brook Lynn will be ready to blab to Ned and anyone else who will listen, but Valentin will think she should reconsider.
Valentin will warn that there are two reasons why she shouldn’t do that, but Brook Lynn should remain undeterred – at least for now. It won’t be long until Brook Lynn’s heading back to the Quartermaine mansion to spill, so Valentin will realize he needs a new game plan.
He’ll have to work fast or else Brook Lynn could blow everything up for him.
Meanwhile, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will tackle some tricky questions in court. Nina just took the stand and swore to tell the truth, but she’ll land in some tight spots.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Nina will hesitate, but Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) will wonder what Nina was going to say. “Nelle has confirmed my initial impression of her,” Nina says in GH’s preview for Monday.
Nina’s initial impression wasn’t all that great since she was still highly suspicious when she hired Nelle at Crimson. However, Nina may try to stick to Nelle’s role at the company, which she’s thrived in. Nina already told Nelle that she could really only attest to her work, so that’s what Nina may focus on.
Diane can be a real shark when she wants to be, so she may push Nina on the topic of trust. Can Nina trust Nelle? Can anyone really? Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) well-being is at stake, so Nina will have to weigh in on whether or not Nelle can be a good mom.
Perhaps Nina will admit that she can’t be certain Nelle will change for Wiley.
Regardless of exactly what Nina says, Nelle will be rattled by the end of all this. It sounds like Nina won’t offer the glowing review she was hoping for, so that should leave Nelle boiling mad soon enough.
As for Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), he’ll be impressed with Nina. Jax should feel like Nina stuck to the facts and stayed calm under pressure.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will bump into someone – and it’ll lead to some uncomfortable moments. It’s possible that’ll be another Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) encounter, but GH’s preview shows her chatting with a blonde.
Portia asks if she should be worried, so maybe she’ll question Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) about how Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) is really holding up.
After all, teens are often more likely to confide in their friends instead of their parents. However, the truth is Trina’s spending most of her time with Cameron Webber (William Lipton) these days. Cam’s the one who understands Trina better than anyone right now.
At GH, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will have a major outburst. As Cyrus stands there looking unfazed, Laura demands some answers. “What is your real interest in this hospital?” Laura snarls in Monday’s promo. Cyrus will probably just take this opportunity to taunt Laura a bit more since he seems to thoroughly enjoy it.
That’s it for Monday, August 3 – GH’s first airdate back following the shutdown! We’ll provide updates as other news becomes available. General Hospital spoilers say exciting episodes are coming up all week long, so stay tuned.
