General Hospital (GH) spoilers has some fun news to pass on about a popular GH star. Réal Andrews, who portrays Marcus Taggert on the ABC soap, recently shared some photos of himself throughout the years with his GH co-star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), and fans are loving it.
As you’re surely aware, Taggert recently made a comeback to the show, much to the delight of GH fans, who were seriously hoping that Taggert’s death had been faked.
Well, as it turns out, Taggert’s death was indeed faked with some help from Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) and Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) at the hospital.
Sonny and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are also aware of Taggert being alive, but so far Taggert’s ex wife Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) and daughter Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) are in the dark.
Réal Andrews posted three photos of himself and Maurice Benard on his Instagram feed, along with some nice words about his co-star. Réal’s caption reads: “What can I say about this amazing man? I found these pictures going back 27 years ago to this most recent one of me and Maurice along our journey, and one in the middle, and when I think of the trials, tribulations, struggles the challenges that he has conquered, I’m truly amazed.”
The oldest photo shows a very young-looking Maurice and Réal, while the most recent photo shows them both wearing “Taggert Is Back” masks. Fans have been commenting right and left on the photos since Réal’s post went live.
One person commented: “Woah! Pics flashbacks are awesome!” And several others commented one how young Maurice and Réal look in the oldest photo.
Réal’s caption continued, with him nicely complimenting Maurice on his efforts in mental health awareness. As you might be aware, Maurice lives with bipolar disorder, and he is a strong advocate for mental health awareness on social media and in the public eye.
Réal complimented Maurice on his tireless work in the area of mental health and shared some his accomplishments, including Maurice’s “State of Mind” series and his recent book.
Réal’s winds up his post by saying: “I am just so humbled and honored and proud to know this man and I just wanted to put it all in writing so you know how much I love you, Maurice, how much I appreciate you, how much I’m grateful that 27 years ago God blessed me by putting you in my life. Thank you for all you do, you are, and all you will be. God bless.”
Fans appreciated Réal’s message. One replied by saying: “This was touching. Paying respects to a true friend.”
And someone else said: “I agree with Real with your Mental Illness and sharing and helping us and also giving insight to those who don’t understand. It’s nice to see you two together. You truly do come across as one standup guy.”
