General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Rebecca Budig (ex-Hayden Barnes) recently got fans talking when she dropped a new pic and a cryptic caption. The excited soap stars in the replies further fueled the fan excitement, so let’s talk about Budig’s intriguing post and what it means.
Budig put up a lovely photo of herself on Instagram and simply said, “Working..” Naturally, that led to plenty of speculation about where Budig was on the job! Since there’s been some buzz about Budig’s possible General Hospital return lately, many GH viewers were hopeful about Hayden’s comeback.
However, this may be something related to Budig’s previous role on All My Children judging from all the former AMC actors in the comments. Budig played Greenlee Smythe on the old ABC daytime drama – and we’ve heard buzz about some type of reunion special that Budig has been working on.
Nevertheless, that certainly doesn’t rule out a return to General Hospital at some point. The timing for Hayden’s return couldn’t be better since Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is looking forward to happily ever after with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).
Of course, Anna is now keeping a major secret from Finn as well. Anna lied and insisted the test results showed Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) had the genetic marker for rheumatoid arthritis. She suggested she’d never have true confirmation on whether Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was her son and acted like she’d have to learn to be OK with that.
The truth is Faison did NOT have the marker, which means Alex did. Anna knows Alex was Peter’s biological mother, but she’s choosing to leave Finn out of the loop – and that decision’s bound to blow up in her face.
Once Anna’s lie is ultimately exposed, Finn’s heart may shatter over the broken trust. Who will be there to pick up the pieces? Some General Hospital fans are holding out hope that Hayden might come back and support Finn down the road.
Hayden deserves the chance to reunite with her daughter, Violet Finn (Jophielle Love), so we’ll see what happens as the rest of this storyline plays out. We’ll keep you posted as other GH news and updates emerge.
