General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ava Cassadine (Maura West) will eventually hear the dirty details of her brother’s new marriage. GH fans know Nelle Jerome (Chloe Lanier) scored herself a new husband by blackmailing Julian Jerome (William deVry). It’ll be easy for Ava to see that Julian must’ve been forced into this, so he may reveal the whole ugly story to her.
Regardless, Ava’s bound to have an opportunity to confront Nelle at some point. General Hospital will inevitably let Ava corner her new sister-in-law and give Nelle a piece of her mind. However, this could be a good opportunity for Nelle to point out that Ava’s no better than she is.
Despite Ava’s best efforts to put on a marriage charade with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), someone like Nelle can see right through that kind of scheme. Nelle may argue that Mrs. Cassadine clearly used some leverage of her own and landed a hubby she could use to her advantage.
This could bring some great sparring and set up a crucial revelation down the road.
Since we know Nelle is Nina’s biological daughter, that also makes her the daughter of Silas Clay (Michael Easton). Of course, Kiki Jerome (Maura West) was Silas’ daughter as well, which makes Nelle and deceased Kiki sisters.
Ava isn’t a big fan of Nelle anyway, but it’d be smart for General Hospital to rev up the conflict even more before this Kiki sister bomb drops. Using this Nelle and Julian marriage is a great way to do that. Nelle should think Ava’s a hypocrite if Ava dares to rant about the wedding Nelle forced Julian into.
Maybe Nelle will urge Ava to take a long look in the mirror before she goes around judging people in loveless marriages! Ava can ultimately learn that Nelle is one of her last remaining links to Kiki on earth and change her tune about how she treats her.
Nelle might make Ava work for any kind of bond, but GH writers could get them to a place of connection in time.
