General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the episode airing on Monday, September 28th could end with a major revelation. A new GH sneak peek video has been released for Monday’s episode, and it lays out a scenario that could very well result in Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) making a shocking discovery and revelation to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Let’s unpack the sneak peek, and we’ll consider what it could mean for Monday’s episode and what follows.
In the sneak peek video, it’s revealed that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is getting dressed and ready for the big teen homecoming dance over at Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ (Ingo Rademacher) place.
Nina and Jax are there, and Nina’s prominently wearing her half-heart pendant around her neck. Nina and Jax briefly talk with Josslyn, who’s frazzled about getting ready and not having enough time.
Nina then asks Josslyn if she’s doing ok, noting that she’s seemed a little off. Josslyn replies that her thoughts are vacillating from feeling sadness over Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) death to relief about Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier).
It then becomes apparent that Jax and Nina haven’t heard about Nelle’s death, and Josslyn is about to lay the news on them when the doorbell rings.
At the door are Sonny and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), and Nina rushes to open the door, flinging the door open and coming face-to-face with Sonny as she’s wearing the pendant.
That’s the end of the sneak peek video, but the possibilities for what will happen next are pretty exciting. Will Sonny see the pendant that Nina’s wearing and recognize it as being like the pendant that Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) had?
GH viewers will remember that Avery dropped the pendant when Sonny was telling her about Mike’s death. Sonny picked the pendant up and noted that it was pretty, so we know that he got a good look at the thing.
Of course, whether Sonny will even notice what Nina’s wearing and makes the connection to Avery’s pendant remains to be seen.
And suppose that Sonny does realize that the pendants match? Whom will he tell? If he mentions it to Nina, then she’s going to surely know that something’s up here, since the other half of the pendant is obviously significant to her.
But what if Sonny just mentions it to Carly, and Jax overhears? That could lead the storyline in a very different direction, as Jax might quickly put the pieces together and realize what actually happened – that Avery found Nelle’s pendant.
We’ll see what happens here, but there are some exciting possibilities for what could happen as a consequence of the pendant discovery Monday’s episode.
We should note that since the remainder of the week’s GH episodes will be pre-empted by Major League Baseball, we could be looking at a major cliffhanger…one that could involve the heart pendant and where the other half ended up.
