ABC’s General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab) has become a troublemaker again and this could land him back in Turkey. GH fans know Dev was a bit problematic when he first arrived in town.
Dev had to be warned about stealing and embellishing fake stories to the cops, but he eventually settled down and seemed to know his place within the Corinthos clan.
That led to Dev pushing Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) away after she kissed him. Dev didn’t want to complicate his arrangement with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), so he opted not to pursue anything with Josslyn…until now. Unfortunately, Dev’s choosing to go about this in the wrong way.
If Dev had just been patient for a while, he could’ve been a shoulder to cry on when Cameron Webber (William Lipton) picked Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) on his own. Despite that kiss with Joss at the homecoming dance, it seems like Cam’s been leaning in Trina’s direction.
All Dev had to do was sit back and wait for Joss to lean on him, but he’s blowing this by manipulating Josslyn and Cameron. You can bet Dev’s plan will backfire in more ways than one.
How could it not? This was a terrible plot from the get-go since one honest conversation between Cam and Joss could ruin everything.
Of course, honest conversations aren’t something most teens like having, so it could take some time before Dev gets caught. GH fans know Dev urged Joss to give Trina and Cam some space since she was “crowding” them.
Dev also showed Cameron a forged journal entry about how clumsy and awkward the kiss was, so he’s got Cam thinking Joss doesn’t want to be more than friends.
General Hospital spoilers say Dev will up the ante during the week of October 19-23. He’ll continue weaving his manipulative web and most likely ensure that Cam chooses Trina. What Dev won’t do, however, is ensure his own future with Josslyn.
At some point, Cameron may rat Dev out over that stolen journal. Dev claimed he found it in the trash, but Cam was still outraged on Josslyn’s behalf. Although Cam may stay quiet out of embarrassment for now, Dev’s manipulation will eventually be exposed one way or another.
Whether that’s through Cam and Joss telling each other the truth or just a sloppy mistake, Dev will get busted.
Not only will Dev lose his shot with Josslyn over this, you can bet Sonny will unleash his fury. Sonny put a lot on the line to keep Dev safe and prevent him from deportation. THIS is how Dev repays Sonny?
The nerve of that kid! As if Sonny didn’t have enough going on right now between grieving Mike Corbin (Max Gail) and battling Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)…
Sonny really needs to threaten to send the scheming brat back to Turkey if he can’t stop meddling in his stepdaughter’s love life. It’s doubtful Sonny would actually do it, but Dev needs to have a little fear put in him – at least until he can show some respect and gratitude.
General Hospital spoilers say Dev has broken the family trust circle and will have to face Sonny’s wrath for it.
On the bright side, Dev’s dark side should cause some entertaining drama as the fall action moves forward. We’ll bring you updates as other GH news emerges.
