General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that there are some big questions on the minds of GH viewers: Is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) dead or alive? Where is the mob boss and when will he return? We’ve got an update on Sonny’s condition and what the future holds for Maurice Benard’s popular character.
Sonny is alive, so you can breathe a sigh of relief if you were still worried about that. General Hospital isn’t killing Sonny off; this is just part of a sizzling new storyline – one that Benard is thrilled about.
In fact, we’re hearing lots of good things from all the key players. Everybody on the cast seems excited about the drama it’s going to bring since it’s a little different than Sonny’s usual stories.
Since we know Sonny’s alive, that brings us to the question of where he is. There’s no word on an exact location, but someone might’ve come along to help injured Sonny in the aftermath of his fall from that bridge.
It’s possible Sonny’s at some stranger’s little cabin somewhere – doing his best to get his strength back.
General Hospital spoilers hint that Sonny will battle amnesia, so he may have to wander around once he’s strong enough. Sonny won’t know where to go, but he’ll find some clues to pursue regarding his identity. That should lead to quite a journey back home, but what about his loved ones in the meantime?
Sadly, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and her family may end up believing Sonny is deceased for a while. The cops will offer some news about Sonny’s fate that leaves Carly and the rest of the Corinthos clan reeling. Things won’t look good from their side of the situation, so they may fear all hope is lost.
Jason will take on Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) himself in Sonny’s absence, but Carly will serve as backup. They’ll do their best to make some moves that could lead to Cyrus’ destruction, but those moves could just as easily backfire.
Sonny is clearly needed back in town, but when will he actually return to Port Charles?
There’s no confirmation on that just yet, but we do know the circumstances will still look bleak during the week of January 4-8. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will lean on Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) as he struggles, so Sonny should still be missing or even presumed dead at that point.
Fortunately, it shouldn’t be too long before GH fans get a glimpse of amnesiac Sonny and receive more answers about his mission to get home. General Hospital spoilers say some twists are ahead in Sonny’s hot plot, so stay tuned.
