General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corithos (Maurice Benard) are gearing up for a separation – at least in the literal sense of the word.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) won’t be able to find Sonny after that footbridge shocker, which sent his boss hurling into the water. It’ll leave Carly quite concerned over the holidays and things may get even worse soon.
Sonny will disappear for a bit, which can’t be good news. Some brain trauma may be in Sonny’s future since an amnesia storyline is in the works. Sonny might even be presumed dead, so this presents the opportunity for an unusual “CarSon” split.
Since Sonny won’t know who he is, he could easily fall for someone else – especially since he’ll wind up far away from home.
GH spoilers suggest Sonny will be frustrated and confused as he struggles to make sense of all this. He’ll want to get back to where he came from, but it doesn’t look like he’ll have any idea where that is.
If this all plays out the way we think it will, Sonny won’t know what kind of life he lived or who he might’ve loved in the past.
This would be a great chance for somebody new to enter the picture for Sonny. It appears Sonny will still have his wedding band on based on some leaked casting sides, but that doesn’t mean he’ll honor his marriage vows indefinitely.
Again, General Hospital spoilers hint that Sonny may have no memory of Carly or his deep love for her.
Depending on how long it takes Sonny to find his way home, Sonny’s frustration could lead to leaning on someone he meets elsewhere. That someone could easily be a woman – perhaps somebody he might bring back to Port Charles with him once he gets the answers he’s seeking.
It’d be a tough situation for Sonny if he falls for some new lucky lady and can’t grasp what he used to share with Carly at all.
