General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a big comeback may be brewing once the show’s in production again. GH fans know Marcus Taggert’s (Real Andrews) death never quite added up. When Taggert sent Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) off for candy, he seemed to know what was coming. Taggert was supposedly dead by the time Trina returned, but was he really?
The answer is probably no since Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) made that equally suspicious phone call. Jordan used a burner phone to contact someone who didn’t want to be contacted. She insisted she needed this person’s approval before she threw the rest of her team under the bus.
It makes perfect sense that Taggert faked his demise to protect Trina, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and even himself. Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) wasn’t going to stop until Taggert was dead – and he was willing to take down anyone who stood in the way. The only way to ensure everybody’s safety was for Cyrus to believe Taggert was dead and gone.
It seems likely Taggert will return – either once it’s safe or after he’s forced out of hiding. Whichever comes first! Regardless, Taggert’s efforts to protect Trina may not go over very well. Trina was a mess over her dad’s death and continues to struggle with profound grief.
We also know Trina is a feisty young woman who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Trina’s proven that time and time again in all those showdowns with Jordan and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). However, it may be Taggert who gets an earful down the road.
Although Trina will initially be relieved if Taggert shows up alive and well, that should be followed by full-blown fury! It’s tough to imagine Trina will just tell her pops it’s no biggie. That wouldn’t line up with Trina’s fierce personality at all.
Trina should unleash her wrath on Taggert for letting her believe he was gone forever. She’ll probably argue Taggert should’ve trusted her with the truth. Portia may not be too happy with Taggert either considering all the suffering he put their daughter through.
This would be a great strategy to push Trina and Portia closer to Curtis, who may be just as livid with Jordan for keeping Taggert’s survival a secret. When you throw in all the hints GH has offered about Curtis actually being Trina’s biological father, you have the makings of a fantastic story. This would be an exciting one to tell after General Hospital returns with new episodes.
