General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, April 9, teases that the origin of Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) other necklace half will be revealed. GH viewers know Nina’s been pondering that half-heart pendant even more lately. Nina will talk to Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) about her long-lost daughter, but she may not express much hope in finding her.
Thursday’s preview video show Jax acknowledging that Nina doesn’t seem too convinced of something. Nina replies, “’Cause I’m not.” It’s possible Nina will be talking about her chances of finding her biological child.
Then again, Nina may doubt that Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) can ever reach any kind of truce.
Regardless, General Hospital spoilers say an heirloom will play a significant role in the drama. GH fans will see a newly created flashback of when Young Carly (Eden McCoy) went to see Frank Benson (James Patrick Stuart), the adoptive father who ultimately wanted nothing to do with her.
Young Nelle (Willa Rose) will witness their encounter in this flashback – and she’ll be wearing the half-heart pendant necklace! Back in the present, Nelle will argue that Frank wanted them to be sisters and asked Carly to stay. However, Nelle was just a little kid and may have twisted this memory around.
Carly may remember a very different story since we know Frank wasn’t a good guy. Frank will actually say some pretty terrible things to Young Carly in the flashback, although that might be after she turns down his offer.
Whatever the case, Young Carly will indeed see Young Nelle and know she exists – just as Nelle claims she did.
Carly most likely caught a glimpse of Nelle’s necklace, too. Maybe Nelle even tried to show it to Carly or made some effort to connect and got rejected. It’s obvious that General Hospital’s trying to play up a more sympathetic angle for Nelle. GH viewers are seeing Nelle’s motives a bit more clearly, even if they don’t agree with them.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will have a suggestion for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Since Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is struggling over all the custody chaos, Michael will point out that she doesn’t have to testify at the hearing. Willow’s been through a lot, so Michael won’t want to add to her pain.
Nevertheless, Willow’s determined to have her say and save Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) from Nelle’s grasp. During an emotional discussion at GH, Willow will tell Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) that she has to do more than feel protective.
Willow should make the life-altering choice to marry Michael before long, so quite a blow’s brewing for Chase.
As for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), she’ll continue her chat with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Joss wishes Nelle had never entered their lives, so she may blame herself on some level due to her kidney transplant.
Still, the past can’t be undone – and Jason will suggest none of them would want to anyway. Wiley exists because Nelle came to Port Charles, so her arrival wasn’t all bad!
