General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, June 18, tease that “CarSon” week will feature another great episode about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). GH is throwing it back to October 14, 2015, so you’re in luck if you love a good soap wedding. Many General Hospital viewers will want to rewatch Carly and Sonny’s nuptials, so here’s what to expect in this classic.
For starters, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) completes a phone call down on the pier. She talks about putting Carly and Sonny’s last-minute wedding together before turning her attention to an impatient Dillon Quartermaine (Robert Palmer Watkins).
Maxie thinks Dillon has Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) issues he needs to deal with, but Dillon insists he knows Lulu doesn’t feel the same.
Suddenly, Maxie makes a horrifying discovery. A dead body’s floating in the harbor, so Maxie screams in response to it. Meanwhile, Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) tracks Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) down to ask questions about Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise).
Anna was the last person to see Carlos alive, but she reminds Jordan that she already gave her statement and isn’t keen on discussing it further.
Anna does admit she’s surprised Jordan buys Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) claims about Carlos shooting Sonny. However, Jordan thinks it fits with the facts regarding Carlos. After arguing with Valerie Spencer (Brytni Sarpy), Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) finds out about the corpse discovery and fills Jordan in.
At the art gallery, Paul Hornby (Richard Burgi) pretends to by Kyle by texting Anna through Kyle’s cell phone. Once Ava comes in, she points out that it’s risky to meet like this.
Paul’s ready to move forward with taking down Sonny and the whole Corinthos organization. Although Ava’s concerned about Carlos being a loose end, Paul promises that it’s handled.
Ava and Paul argue about the next step before Paul offers a warning. He wants Ava to get her custody situation with Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) wrapped up ASAP so she can do her part. There’ll be a price to pay if Ava doesn’t cooperate.
Once Paul’s gone, Ava calls Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) to speed securing sole custody along. Anna appears, so Ava realizes she’s standing there and disconnects. Anna grills Ava about her lies regarding the shooting. She knows Carlos fled Port Charles and doesn’t think he would’ve risked coming back to take Sonny down.
Ava seems nervous, but a phone call from Paul convinces Anna to exit. Once Ava’s alone, she calls Paul to give him updates on suspicious Anna. Paul assures Ava that he’s got a firm grip on things.
Down on the pier again, Nathan and Jordan do some investigating. They can’t tell who the decomposing dead man is since his face was mostly blown off by a bullet.
A quick look through the guy’s pockets reveals Carlos’ wallet. After Paul shows up and pushes for info from Jordan, he suggests this points to Sonny’s retaliation.
When Paul sees Anna a little later, he mentions that the body in the harbor has tentatively been ID’d as Carlos. At the PCPD, Maxie frets about how Carlos’ loved ones will take the news. She also clashes with Valerie about the pregnancy kit that was found in the trash bin, but a fed-up Valerie finally blurts out that there’s no baby.
In the chapel at GH, Carly’s shocked to see her family has gathered for a wedding. Sonny asks Carly to marry him, so Carly wonders how he pulled all this off. After Sonny admits he had some help, Carly agrees to tie the knot. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is thrilled, so she pulls her mom away to get changed into her wedding dress.
Once Sonny’s dressed as well, Josslyn plays the wedding march for Carly on a recorder. Since Sonny has to stay in wheelchair for the event, Carly sits down to be in his level. The minister’s there to officiate, but Sonny and Carly end up taking the lead.
After exchanging sweet vows and slipping on wedding rings, the minister’s ready to pronounce Carly and Sonny husband and wife. Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zampogna) phone rings and causes a slight delay, but the pair officially gets hitched moments later.
Next, Dante hears about Carlos’ body being found and passes the info along. Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) is so taken aback that she nearly faints, so Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) encourage her to sit.
Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) feels like Carlos got what he deserved, but Sonny doesn’t think Morgan needs to be making insensitive remarks right now.
Later, Carly and Sonny debate who might’ve shot Carlos. Sonny settles on Ava as a potential culprit before discussing honeymoon plans with Josslyn. Once Sonny’s in his hospital room again, Carly gets in bed with him and cozies up to her new husband.
