General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, October 22, tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will come clean about falling for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West). Nikolas will suggest that for a marriage of convenience, he now has inconvenient feelings. Ava may not trust what Nikolas is telling her and may hint that she knows Nik was blackmailed.
However, Nikolas will think this is less complicated than they’ve made it out to be. What it boils down to is that Nikolas has feelings for Ava. Nikolas will push Ava to tell him if she returns those feelings – a simple yes or no will do.
No matter how Ava responds, Nikolas will provide some temptation next week and will try to make a deal with Julian Jerome (William deVry). It sounds like Nikolas will be convinced Ava returns his feelings and will take steps to make sure they stay married.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will have a warning for Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). Valentin obviously still cares about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) – and he suspects Nina does as well based on her jealous reaction to Valentin’s hookup with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane).
Although Valentin seemed to enjoy causing a little pain for Nina, that’s only because he’d like to win her back. Nevertheless, Valentin has accepted that Nina is with Jax for now. During a conversation about Nina’s long-lost son or daughter, Valentin will insist Jax had better make sure there’s a child out there to find. He won’t want Jax setting Nina up for disappointment all over again.
Of course, Jax may argue that even if there’s no child to find, he has no intention of manufacturing one like Valentin or hiding the truth if that child is dead. Jax may have to eat his words once he eventually realizes deceased Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) is the daughter Nina is so desperately seeking!
In the cemetery, Nina will sit by Nelle’s grave and try to give her some sense of a burial that matters. Nina understandably had trouble rounding up guests for this sendoff. She even had the ridiculous notion that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) might want to come say goodbye to the dearly departed Janelle, but Nina will have to fly solo – at least at first.
Nina will look somber as she sits by Nelle’s headstone and the flowers she ordered for her. General Hospital spoilers say Nina will wish things could’ve been different for Nelle. She won’t realize she’s making a heartfelt speech about her own flesh and blood.
Over with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), she’ll tell Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) there’s something she’s supposed to remember. Regardless of what Carly means, she’ll search for closure on Thursday. Carly will struggle with that, so she may wind up at Nelle’s grave hoping to find what she’s seeking.
Unfortunately, what Carly will actually find is a furious Nina! Once Carly shows up, Nina may think she’s got some nerve coming there when she was so against Nelle having a proper burial at Woodlawn. Nina may contend that if Carly came to dance on Nelle’s grave, then she can find somewhere else to do it instead.
Carly may bring up her closure attempt, but Nina probably won’t buy that idea. Whatever the case, General Hospital spoilers say Nina and Carly’s shouting match will continue on Friday, so stay tuned.
Back with Jason, he’ll get some updates from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Sonny will have some news to pass along regarding Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) will, so it’ll be interesting to see what Mike might’ve left behind for his family.
At the very least, Mike should have some final messages. There may be an official will reading coming up soon, so we’ll see how that goes. Until then, it looks like Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) will fill Chase in on the annulment she’s getting. Chase may suggest that he doesn’t expect anything from Willow or even hint that she shouldn’t do it on his account.
Thursday’s GH preview video shows Chase saying, “Best to just hold on to it.” Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) appears moments later and wonders what it is Willow should hold on to. It sounds like Chase will mean the happiness Willow has found with Michael or even the memory of what “Chillow” used to have together.
However, Chase may acknowledge that it’s none of his business anymore – as Michael previously pointed out. Michael’s sure to be feeling a little territorial, even though he’s still planning to annul his marriage!
