General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, October 8, tease that it’ll be a tough day for the Corinthos family. As Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) funeral gets underway, everyone will gather to reflect on some memories and try to say a final goodbye.
Mike’s loved ones are grateful for the way he touched their lives, so it’s time to come together and remember him.
For starters, Kristen Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) will finally be included in Mike’s farewell funeral drama, so that’s good to know. Kristen deserves a chance to be there for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and grieve along with the rest of her family.
Speaking of family, that’ll be the topic Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) speaks on as he kicks off the service. Mike wasn’t always the best father to Sonny, but he managed to make amends with Sonny later in life.
In the end, there was nothing but love left between this father and son. Michael should hope he can keep that love in his heart and form a strong bond with his own son, too.
Michael will certainly keep Mike’s memory alive through stories to Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) as he gets older. Of course, this funeral wouldn’t be complete without Stella Henry (Vernee Watson), who was a good friend to Mike and helped Sonny throughout his dad’s battle with Alzheimer’s.
Stella will say a few words about her departed pal and light a candle for him. Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will also attend with Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab). General Hospital spoilers say Brando will be glad he got to connect with Mike again – and Dev will be grateful that he could befriend Mike as well.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will show up to support the Corinthos fam with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who’ll make a speech and talk about how Mike was one of the greatest people he ever knew.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will also be on hand to say goodbye in their own personal ways. Even Ava Jerome (Maura West) will pay her respects at some point by sharing some comforting words to Carly.
It looks like Sonny will spend some time alone with Mike’s casket and picture when the service concludes. “I love you, Dad,” Sonny says in Thursday’s GH preview video. As Sonny bids his father farewell, he’ll ultimately welcome his son home. General Hospital spoilers say Thursday is when Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will finally make it back to Port Charles.
It’s nice that Sonny will get some hope and happiness through Dante’s return. It couldn’t have come at a better time! We’ll offer updates as other news rolls in.
