General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, September 10, tease that Ava Cassadine (Maura West) will get a visit from Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), but their conversation may go from friendly to hostile fast – at least on Franco’s end.
Ava will suggest that maybe they should cut their losses, so it looks like she’ll lump Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) in with conniving Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).
Franco isn’t going to appreciate that and will rush to Liz’s defense on Thursday. Although Franco and Elizabeth have struggled to get on the same page lately, Franco certainly won’t want to give up on true love.
Ava, on the other hand, should dump Nikolas as far as Franco’s concerned. He may agree that when it comes to Ava’s marriage, cutting her losses is wise.
Over with Elizabeth, she’ll corner Nikolas so they can get a few things straight. “Your screwed-up fake marriage is ruining my real one,” Liz snaps in Thursday’s GH preview video.
Nikolas may insist he doesn’t know what she’s talking about, but Elizabeth is onto Nik by now. Liz will make it clear that Nikolas needs to back off and stop trying to make “Friz” pawns in his twisted Ava game.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will head to Manhattan. Using the contact info that Evelyn the jeweler provided, Jax and Nina will track down the artisan they’re looking for.
“We’re hoping that you could identify a necklace,” Nina says to a bewildered-looking man in Thursday’s preview clip.
Nina’s on a desperate mission to find her long-lost child, so we’ll see if this chat brings her a step closer. General Hospital spoilers point to Nina growing increasingly hopeful next week, so it sounds like she’ll be on the right track.
Of course, disappointment awaits at the end of this long and winding road since Nina’s bio daughter is Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier), who took a terrible fall off a cliff.
In the meantime, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will show up at Turning Woods and ask for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) may try to get rid of Ned since Sonny’s spending every last moment he can with Mike Corbin (Max Gail) right now.
However, Ned will insist that Sonny needs to know where Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) is and what she’s up to.
Ned will ultimately meet with Sonny so he can bring him up to speed on Olivia’s visit to Geneva, where Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) treatment facility is located. Sonny may have concerns about Dante rejecting Olivia’s visit, which is exactly what happened.
Nevertheless, Olivia promised to be there for Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) at Holly Sutton’s (Emma Samms) memorial service. She’ll follow through on that promise, but Robert still won’t be convinced that Holly’s dead. “You don’t believe me, do you?” Robert asks Olivia in Thursday’s GH preview video.
Olivia may suggest that she understands how important the concept of hope is. Despite how bleak things look with Dante right now, Olivia certainly isn’t willing to give up on her son. With that in mind, it’s tough for Olivia to blame Robert for keeping hope alive when it comes to Holly’s survival.
Fortunately, Robert will have more than just hope before long. General Hospital spoilers say a mysterious phone call will catch Robert off guard – and it could bring a major clue about Holly! We also know Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons) will get involved soon, so look for Holly’s son to pop up as this storyline gets hotter.
Back at Turning Woods, Sonny will smile as he tells someone he’s so happy to see him or her. It looks like Sonny may imagine a healthy Mike Corbin (Max Gail) or perhaps even a recovered Dante. Sonny could use someone to talk to, even if it’s just in his head.
In the week ahead, Sonny’s imagination will continue to run away with him. General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will have a few fantasies of what might’ve been. Mike’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis changed everything, so that’ll lead Sonny to wonder what would’ve happened if that diagnosis had never come.
For now though, it’s also possible Sonny will be greeting Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Joss will visit Mike on Friday, so she might arrive at the end of Thursday’s episode to set that up. Sonny needs support in every form he can get it, so it’s good that he’ll have his family to lean on.
