General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 24, reveal that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) talked briefly near the elevators at GH, mentioning their financial problems. Elizabeth alluded to the fact that Franco had found some sort of solution to the problem, then she got on the elevator and took off.
A short time later, Elizabeth encountered Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and extended her condolences about Mike Corbin (Max Gail).
Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) breathlessly walked up and nearly hugged Michael, offering her condolences as well, although she didn’t quite seem herself. Michael uncomfortably stepped away for a moment, and Willow noted that Sasha is still in love with Michael.
Willow assured Sasha kindly that she appreciated her concern, and that Michael isn’t grieving alone. Sasha was glad that Michael had Willow and his family, and Willow let it slip that she was going to be adopting Wiley.
This upset Sasha, but she put on a brave face. Elsewhere, Michael asked Elizabeth about whether he should consider having Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) treated somewhere else. Elizabeth recommended Mercy.
Michael then rejoined Willow and Sasha, and Sasha took off. Michael told Willow about exploring other options for Wiley’s care. Sasha approached Elizabeth about seeing a doctor to prescribe something to help her sleep.
Elizabeth cautioned Sasha about how difficult it was to get those kinds of drugs due to the high incidence of abuse.
On the docks, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) came face to face with her blackmailer – Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner). Ava and Scott argued, and Ava tried to bluff her way out of the situation, saying that Scott would never expose the picture and hurt Franco.
Scott said that he would, and that Ava had 24 hours to pay up or he’d expose the picture to the world.
At the Metro Court, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) met with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), wanting to retain him for help with his post-nuptial agreement.
Martin explained that as long as “infidelity” was clearly defined in the agreement, it should be straightforward. Nikolas said that it wasn’t clearly defined, and Martin said that in that case, emotional infidelity could be inferred. Nikolas wasn’t happy to hear that.
Nikolas then found Julian Jerome (William deVry) at the bar and inquired as to where Ava was. Julian didn’t know. Once alone, Nikolas flashed back to talking with Scott on the pier, with Scott asking him to pay so that Ava didn’t see that he kissed Elizabeth.
Julian went to Martin’s table and wanted to hire Martin to help him annul his marriage to Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier). Martin refused, saying it was a conflict of interest.
Through their conversation, Martin referenced the document that Nelle left in his care, and Julian’s ears perked up. Martin then got a call and learned that Nelle was dead. Martin told Julian that he was now a widower, and that he couldn’t do anything with Nelle’s document until a death certificate was filed.
At Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) apartment, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) talked to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) about coming home, then he got a call from the hotel in Monaco saying that Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) had left something there. Ned was freaked out, thinking that Olivia’s credit card must have been stolen.
Brook Lynn revealed that she had deleted a message from Olivia saying that she was running off with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) for some reason. Ned wondered what Robert had gotten Olivia involved in.
At the Corinthos house, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) told Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) that Nelle was dead. Carly’s reaction told Sonny that something was up, and then Carly disclosed what really happened on the cliff with Nelle, and how she tried to rescue Nelle, but Nelle fell.
Just then, Chase came to the door with the news of Nelle’s death. Chase wanted to question Carly, and she briefly described what happened with Nelle, telling the same story she had told to the police before.
Jason and Sonny got rid of Chase, saying that Carly was exhausted from siting vigil with Mike. After Chase left, Carly disclosed that Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) knew about what really happened to Nelle also.
Back on the docks, Nikolas arrived and found Ava, who was brooding there. Nikolas asked Ava if everything was all right, and she said everything was fine. “Why wouldn’t it be?” Ava asked.
Back at the hospital. Franco met up with Elizabeth, and they went to a room where Scott was waiting. Scott said that he had met with Nikolas and Ava, and that he had showed them the photographs.
Meanwhile, Chase found Willow and Michael in the hallway, and he told them that Nelle had been found dead. Chase was on his way to the morgue to confirm, and he left Michael and Willow, who were relieved that Nelle could never hurt them again. Michael and Willow hugged, as Chase watched from afar.
Finally, Sasha stood by herself in a corridor and placed a call. “It’s Sasha. I need to make a purchase,” Sasha told the person on the other end. “Yeah, the usual,” Sasha said.
