General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, April 21 Recap - Willow Dumps Chase - Valentin Drops Custody Fight For Charlotte

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 21, reveal that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) wanted to go with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to Turning Woods to check on Mike Corbin (Max Gail), who had just suffered a seizure. As Sonny, Carly, and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) stood in the Corinthos kitchen, Sonny said that he’d go alone, and he told Jason to call off the meeting over at Charlie’s Pub with Cyrus Renault. This upset Carly, who urged Jason to go in Sonny’s stead.

Meanwhile, at Charlie’s Pub, Cyrus walked in and made Julian Jerome’s (William deVry) acquaintance. Cyrus and Julian engaged in some small talk, then acknowledged that they knew who the other was.

Cyrus extended an invitation to get to know each other, and he asked for fellowship with Julian. Julian remarked that Sonny would be a good person to talk to.

Jason then called Cyrus to say that the meeting with Sonny was off, and Cyrus went on about how disappointing that was and disrespectful, and Jason hung up on him.

Cyrus went back to Julian and said again that they could get better acquainted, while back in the Corinthos kitchen Carly was upset that Jason hung up on Cyrus. Carly then brought Donna Corinthos (Ella and Emma Hulen) into the kitchen, and she and Jason playfully argued about how Jason handled the situation.

At Turning Woods, Sonny ran into Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), who was there to visit Mike but had just learned that he wasn’t doing well. Sonny informed Brook Lynn about Mike’s seizure, then Sonny looked in on Mike and saw him lying in bed, looking unwell.

Later, Sonny talked to a doctor, who explained that Mike was seated when the seizure happened, and that it wasn’t a simple fall. Sonny didn’t want to hear it, clearly in deep denial that Mike is experiencing end-of-life issues. Sonny was upset to hear that Mike wasn’t going to get tests done, and Brook Lynn stepped in to help the doctor try to explain everything to Sonny.

Sonny went back in Mike’s room, where Mike was pretty much catatonic. Mike struggled to get up, and Brook Lynn came in the room to help. Once Mike was back in bed, he reached for Sonny’s hand and asked, “Is it over?”

Sonny was torn up by this, but he pretended to believe that Mike was asking if the movie was over. Brook Lynn watched sadly and did her best to comfort Sonny.

Next, at the Metro Court, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) argued about Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) love for Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).

As they sat at the bar, Laura and Lulu went back and forth about whether Valentin should be a part of Charlotte’s life, with Laura saying that it was in Charlotte’s best interest to have her father in her life,

Lulu wasn’t having any of it, and she argued that there was no way she’d drop her petition for sole custody. After all, Charlotte was kidnapped because of Valentin, and Lulu said that she’d

rather have Charlotte resent her and be alive than the alternative. Lulu simply couldn’t understand why her mother seemed to be on Valentin’s side.

Meanwhile, over at a table, Valentin told Charlotte that it was an exaggeration to say that Ava Jerome (Maura West) was his enemy. Charlotte then revealed that she had seen Valentin push Ava off of the roof at Wyndemere. Valentin was horrified, and he tried to say that Charlotte was mistaken, but Charlotte called him out on lying.

Valentin asked why Charlotte hadn’t said anything before, and Charlotte said that she couldn’t let anything get in the way of him marrying Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Valentin was stunned, and Charlotte said that Ava was mean, and that everything was her fault along with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), Lulu, and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Charlotte said that Valentin would fix everything, though, and they’d get their happily ever after.

Valentin then took Charlotte back over to Lulu and asked Laura for a word. Valentin and Laura stepped away, and Lulu asked Charlotte how her visit with Valentin went.

Charlotte said that she thought Valentin was mad at her, and Lulu said that Valentin loved her very much. Charlotte then blasted her mother for pretending that she liked Valentin when she really doesn’t.

Off in another area, Laura and Valentin talked. Valentin was emotional, and he noted that Laura was a good person, and that Charlotte would need her to learn right from wrong.

Laura sensed that something was off with Valentin, and Valentin went on to ask Laura to instill her conscience, kindness, and generosity in Charlotte…and he said he wasn’t going to fight Lulu for custody. “Take her,” Valentin said, leaving Laura stunned.

At GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) brought Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) a smoothie and was excited about visiting Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).

Michael and Josslyn rehashed the situation with Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) and the upcoming custody hearing, and they talked about how Michael needs to marry Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) but can’t because of her love for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

At Willow and Chase’s apartment, Willow was totally thrown by the sight of Chase and Sasha making out on the couch. Sasha and Chase feigned surprise, and Sasha ran off to the bathroom while Chase spoke alone with Willow.

Chase put on a big act, saying that this thing with Sasha “just happened.” Chase went on to gripe about how he and Willow went from being two people in love to her being all about Wiley.

Willow was stunned, and Chase went on, ranting about Willow leaving him behind to only think about Wiley all the time. Willow was completely hurt, saying that Chase could have come to her and they could have worked through it. Chase added that he and Sasha have a lot in common; they’re both on the outside when it comes to Wiley.

Willow was heartbroken and said that Chase should have come to her even after he cheated the first time with Sasha, and that they could have worked through it. “Never in a million years did I think this could happen,” Willow said. Willow concluded that she just didn’t know Chase at all, and with that she left.

Afterwards, Sasha came out of the bathroom and said, “What have we done?” Still in shock from what they had done, Chase poured some wine and gave some to Sasha. Chase and Sasha sadly toasted to “hopefully this being all worth it.”
