General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 11, reveal that Sam McCall (Lindsay Hartley) was sitting at Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) bedside at GH when Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) walked in with the proxy documents for Sam to sign.
Sam wondered if her parole officer would still be a problem, and Valentin said she might stop by again, but that she’d be quickly taken care of. Sam signed the paperwork.
Later, Sam was sitting with Jason when her parole officer Delores Maloney (Andi Chapman) walked in and told Sam that she needed to leave the room now or else go straight back to Pentonville.
Sam protested, saying that Jason almost died, but Delores wasn’t sympathetic. Suddenly, another parole officer came in and asked for a word with Delores.
Soon, Delores and the other parole officer came in and Delores sarcastically congratulated Sam, saying that she was off Sam’s case. Delores took off, and Sam asked her new parole officer if she had to leave Jason’s room. “Of course not,” the new parole officer said. “Stay as long as you want. Family First.”
Out in the hallway, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) overheard Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) on the phone with Laura Collins (Genie Francis). TJ quizzed Jordan about it afterwards, wondering if Jordan had been fired by Laura, but Jordan said no. TJ wondered why Jordan had vouched for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) at the press conference yesterday. Jordan said she felt obligated to make amends after what her team did to Cyrus.
TJ and Jordan talked a bit about Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), and TJ said that he understood that Jordan did the best she could to uphold the law, but that she couldn’t always control the outcome. Jordan and TJ embraced tenderly.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) were preparing for their court hearing when Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) walked in.
Ned shared that he was calling a quick emergency shareholders meeting to vote on whether to bail out GH for its financial troubles. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) looked uncomfortable and wanted to take off, but Ned made her stay to vote.
Ned stepped out to call other shareholders, and he mentioned that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was on her way as a tiebreaker vote if they need it. Ned returned later saying that three other shareholders’ shares had all been sold.
Michael wondered what was going on, and Ned disclosed that some interloper had been trying to buy up shares through a mediator. Ned said that it was ok, and that they were all still majority shareholders.
At the Metro Court, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) met with Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier). Nelle said that she didn’t want to go to court today – she’d rather delay the proceedings somehow and stall.
Martin said that wasn’t possible, and Nelle got peeved when Martin suggested calling Michael and asking for joint custody as well as dropping the lawsuit against GH. Nelle promptly fired Martin, and they proceeded to bicker over his bill.
Martin quipped that Nelle had plenty of money from selling her ELQ shares, and she fired back that she needed that money to leave town.
Martin asked if Nelle was planning to take her son and run, and Nelle backtracked, saying she was going to win sole custody representing herself, and then leave town with Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
Over at the bar, Lucy found Cyrus and congratulated him on his endorsement from the police commissioner last night. Lucy made nice with Cyrus so that she could secure his funding for the nurses’ ball.
Cyrus happily agreed to write Lucy a check. While they were talking, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) walked in and eyeballed Cyrus and Lucy, sitting down at a nearby table.
Once Lucy had gone, Curtis walked up and told Cyrus that he wouldn’t be having any private meetings with Jordan anymore. Cyrus balked, but Curtis said, “You might want to reconsider, especially considering a certain someone who resides at 1257 Wilson Avenue.”
Cyrus tried to play dumb, but Curtis wouldn’t back down, saying that it was someone Cyrus cared about.
Curtis told Cyrus that justice was coming for him, and that he knew what Cyrus stood to lose. “From here on out, we play by my rules,” Curtis said. Cyrus smiled but was clearly unnerved. Later, Jordan showed up, having received a text from Cyrus. Cyrus told Jordan to call Curtis off, and Jordan mused that Curtis must have touched a nerve. Cyrus then basically threatened Curtis.
Back at the Q mansion, the doorbell rang, and Valentin walked in the living room confidently saying that he had Sam’s kids’ voting proxies. After some bickering amongst everyone, Valentin revealed that he had Nelle’s shares and a few other family members’ shares as well.
Michael, Ned, and Olivia were outraged, and Brook Lynn looked nervous and tried to leave. Ned made Brook Lynn stay.
Ned called for a vote on whether ELQ should financially back the hospital. Valentin voted no, Ned voted yes, Michael voted yes, and then Ned called for Brook Lynn’s vote.
Brook Lynn said that she “would” vote yes, but that she didn’t own her shares anymore – Valentin did. Ned was horrified and bickering ensued. Valentin asserted that he now owned 50% of ELQ. Ned said that they still had Lucy and her vote.
Just then, Lucy arrived, and Michael and Willow took off for their court hearing. Lucy entered the living room, and Ned asked whether Lucy was voting with Valentin or with the hospital that she loves so much. Lucy looked oddly at Valentin.
Back at GH, Curtis met up with TJ, and they talked briefly about Jordan’s press conference. TJ asked if there was something else going on, and if Curtis and Jordan would tell him if there was something he needed to know. Curtis avoided the question and took off, leaving TJ perplexed.
Over at the courthouse, Michael and Willow talked in the foyer outside the courtroom. Willow wondered what would happen if they lost the custody case. Michael reassured Willow that they were in good shape, and that they’re in this together.
Inside the courtroom, Nelle looked at her half-heart pendant, then at her fake passports for herself and Wiley, then at the tracker for Wiley on her phone. Willow and Michael walked in the courtroom and stared at Nelle.
Finally, back at GH, Sam sat at Jason’s bedside, talking to him softly about how Valentin came through and took care of Delores. Sam hoped that they could finally be a family again, and suddenly Jason’s hand moved. Jason squeezed Sam’s hand, and Sam urged Jason to wake up. Jason’s eyes slowly opened.
