General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 25, reveal that Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) updated Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) about Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Briana Lane) surgery.
Portia said that Brook Lynn had survived the surgery, but they couldn’t complete the procedure and she’d be given transfusions before heading to the ICU.
Portia left, and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) ambled up and told Ned and Olivia that the vicious attack on Brook Lynn was horrible.
Olivia fumed at Cyrus, then Portia returned and told Ned and Olivia that they could see Brook Lynn now, and that she’d be sedated but would probably be able to hear them.
Ned and Olivia took off, and Portia had words with Cyrus, who wondered about how Brook Lynn was doing. Portia said that HIPPA prevented her from discussing it. Cyrus got snippy with Portia, asking if there was a problem, and Portia said no, as long as he wouldn’t stand in the way of her doing her job.
At Charlie’s Pub, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) arrived to find Julian Jerome (William deVry) there. Julian told Ava the whole story about how he helped Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) kidnap Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
Ava and Julian agreed that Julian needed to keep quiet to avoid Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) wrath. Julian remembered the tracker in Wiley’s stuffed kangaroo, but he vowed to keep that to himself so that Sonny wouldn’t know what he did.
At the Metro Court, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) talked at a table. Elizabeth insisted that Ava was trying to push her and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) together, and Franco insisted that Nikolas was trying to push him and Ava together.
Meanwhile, Nikolas sat at the bar talking to Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) by phone, saying that he had a contingency plan that was working like a charm.
Later, Ava arrived at the Metro Court and spoke with Franco briefly. Franco fished to see what Ava would say when he claimed that he and Elizabeth were having a disagreement. Ava noted that Franco was her best friend, and Franco seemed puzzled by that.
Meanwhile, at the bar, Elizabeth approached Nikolas saying she was having a disagreement with Franco. Elizabeth asked if Nikolas thought there was something going on between Ava and Franco.
Nikolas basically said yes, and that disappointed Elizabeth. Later, Ava and Nikolas met up at the bar, each having avoided going home. Ava and Nikolas agreed that it was a pity that they were stuck with each other.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Sonny arrived as Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) was updating Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) on the search for Nelle.
Sonny, Michael, and Carly took off for the PCPD while Willow stayed behind at the mansion. Soon, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) arrived to find Willow there alone.
Nina said that she’d like to stay and support Willow, even though the two of them haven’t always gotten along. Nina said that Willow was a good person and loved Wiley, and Willow said that she could use the company. Willow admitted to being terrified for Wiley.
Out on the highway, Nelle and Wiley drove along, with Nelle going on about how Carly was never going to see Wiley again and how easy it was to kidnap the little boy. As she was talking to herself and Wiley, Nelle made a wrong turn and had to stop to look at a map.
A young woman came along and was overly helpful to Nelle, giving her directions and finally noticing Wiley in the car. Nelle drove away, and the woman got the amber alert on her smartwatch showing Nelle and Wiley’s pictures.
At the PCPD, Sonny got word from one of his guys that Nelle didn’t leave via the harbor, and he and Carly deduced that Nelle must be on the road. Sonny got a call from Olivia about Brook Lynn’s attack, and Sonny updated Carly and Michael.
Carly immediately suspected that it was Nelle who attacked Brook Lynn, and Chase put the pieces together and realized that Brook Lynn must have figured out what Nelle was planning.
Just then, some officers hauled in Julian, who Michael angrily lunged at. Chase took Julian into the interrogation room, and Michael talked to Willow via phone, telling her about Brook Lynn’s attack. Chase got nothing out of Julian as he attempted to interrogate him.
Chase then returned to the squad room and remembered that Nelle had used the names Barbara and William Langdon for her and Wiley when she tried to kidnap Wiley the first time.
After a little investigating, Chase found that a Barbara Langdon recently purchased a used car in the area. Chase declared that they were back on Nelle’s trail.
Back at the Q mansion, Willow was extremely upset over the thought of Nelle slashing Brook Lynn and Wiley now being in Nelle’s care. Willow tried to convince herself that Nelle wouldn’t harm Wiley, but she worried that Nelle might totally disappear with the little boy.
Nina comforted Willow, saying that they each had to believe that they’d see their children again.
Back at the hospital, Ned visited Brook Lynn in the ICU and begged her to come back to him. Sonny arrived to see Olivia and shared that he thought Nelle attacked Brook Lynn.
Olivia was stunned. Portia walked up to Sonny and Olivia and shared that Brook Lynn should regain consciousness soon, but she may not be able to talk, since the injury to her throat was severe.
Back in Brook Lynn’s room, Brook Lynn opened her eyes as Ned sat at her bedside and Sonny and Olivia watched from the window.
