General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, July 28 – Sonny Fumes Over Julian’s Marriage Move – Joss Faces Bombshell

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, July 28, tease that some hot drama’s coming up in another exciting encore. This GH episode first aired on May 18, 2020 – and it’s packed full of action! General Hospital is building to the return of new episodes on Monday, August 3, so tune in if you need your memory refreshed.

At the park, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) apologizes to her friends for not being as present since Oscar Nero Quartermaine (Garren Stitt) died. Joss plans to hang out with her friends more instead of writing in her journal so much.

When Josslyn suggests getting together after school tomorrow, she learns Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) already have plans.

Josslyn and Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” are willing to join Trina and Cam for their Ultimate Frisbee game, but Cameron and Trina act funny about it. Once Joss is alone with Dev, he tells her that Cam doesn’t know how to act around Josslyn because he likes her. Joss is shocked, but Dev smiles over her being the last to know.

Meanwhile, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) takes Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to the boxing gym. When Sam suggests her mom needs to exercise and figure out what’s next, Alexis insists she’s still mourning the loss of a stellar career. If Alexis isn’t an attorney, she doesn’t know what she is.

Once Sam walks away for a moment, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) gets chatty with Alexis. Sam returns and wants to know why Brando’s talking to her mom. Brando explains that he didn’t know about their connection and gets back to his workout across the room.

Alexis admires the view and understands why Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) fell into bed with Brando.

Alexis decides to visit the steam room, so Sam corners Brando again – this time to apologize. Brando’s taken aback, but he accepts and gets Sam to agree to a clean slate.

After Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) introduces her new husband in court, the judge calls a brief recess to look over the license. Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) takes the opportunity to rip into Nelle just outside.

Martin wants to know what Nelle was thinking when she married Julian Jerome (William deVry). Nelle argues that she wants what’s best for Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) and so does Julian.

Over with Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy), she speaks with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) about Nelle picking the worst possible husband.

Nevertheless, the goal here isn’t about making Nelle look bad; it’s about making Michael and Willow look good! Diane wants to stick to her strategy and present her client as the best option for Wiley.

As for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), she admits Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) gave her a heads-up about Nelle’s knowledge of the “Millow” nuptials.

Once court’s back in session, Diane gives her opening statement and Martin’s statement comes soon after. Nelle holds her half-heart pendant and flashes back to what led to Julian marrying her. Nelle remembers blackmailing Julian about the baby swap and causing the accident that almost killed Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes).

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) wouldn’t be happy if he found out Julian was involved in any of that. In fact, Nelle feels confident Sonny would kill Julian. As the flashback continues, Nelle reveals that there’s a sealed envelope at her lawyer’s office.

It’ll send the police straight to Julian’s door if Nelle vanishes or winds up dead.

In the end, Julian agrees to a wedding – and that brings us back to the drama in court. At the Metro Court, Molly seems nervous during a small gathering with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry).

They’re all celebrating TJ and Molly’s domestic partnership, but Molly’s secret hookup is clearly on her mind.

Sonny pops over to offer well wishes and eventually sends them some Champagne. Jordan uses that as an excuse to step away and thank Sonny, but she really wants to set him straight about the end of their collaboration. Jordan doesn’t think they need to team up now that TJ’s safe and sound.

Although Sonny’s concerned about Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) investigation, an agitated Jordan thinks she’s got this. Next, Jordan pulls Molly away from Curtis and TJ so they can have a little girl talk. Molly seems uneasy as Jordan offers an apology for what she said before TJ was found.

Ava Cassadine (Maura West) finds out she’s got a potential buyer for her penthouse, but she’s not pleased to learn it’s Cyrus. He reaches out to shake Ava’s hand, but Ava knows who Cyrus is and refuses. Sonny spies the pair together and wonders what Ava thinks she’s doing.

He confronts Ava after Cyrus wanders off, but Ava makes it clear she won’t be doing business with Cyrus.

After Sonny gets a text about Julian and Nelle, Ava asks about it. She wonders if it involves important news, but Sonny snaps that she should ask her brother.

Once court breaks for lunch, Julian wiggles out of Martin and Nelle’s strategy session. He’s on his way to get some air when Sonny appears. Julian married one of the few people Sonny hates more than him, so Sonny mentions that right off the bat.

Back with Alexis, she’s stunned when Diane calls with updates about Julian’s new marriage to Nelle. That shocker should continue to make waves when new GH episodes resume, so stay tuned.
