General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, June 9, tease that we’ll see some classic Nurses Ball shockers. The ABC soap’s throwing it back with an episode that was first seen on May 21, 2018. There’s tons of hot drama going on in this encore, so here’s what General Hospital fans have to look forward to.
For starters, Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) unleashes her wrath over the Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) attack on Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Nina wants Robert to leave Valentin alone, but Robert puts Valentin in handcuffs and leads him backstage. Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) is left to settle everyone down at the Nurses Ball.
After Mike Corbin (Max Gail) begins a performance of Frank Sinatra’s “Summer Wind,” he starts off on a great note. Things take a somber turn when Mike freezes on stage, but Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) joins Mike and gets him back on track.
Over in Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) dressing room, she gives Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) her dress so that Amy can fix a wardrobe malfunction. Once Amy takes off, Dr. David Bensch (James DePaiva) appears. Kiki’s in her slip, so she does her best to cover up and asks Dr. Bensch what he’s doing there.
Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) arrives and asks if there’s a problem, but Dr. Bensch claims he simply got turned around on the way to the restroom. After Dr. Bensch exits, Kiki cries on Griffin’s shoulder as Ava Jerome (Maura West) spots them nearby.
In a corridor, Robert holds Valentin at gunpoint and insists he’s in the loop on Valentin’s involvement with Heinrik Faison (Wes Ramsey). Valentin argues Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is on the verge of walking into a trap.
Once Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberley McCullough) shares that Anna got a message on her phone, Robert exits along with Robin.
Valentin has a private moment with Nina, who wants to know how long he’s known about Heinrik. Nina’s most interested in finding out if Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) could’ve been saved.
Would it have changed anything if Valentin had come clean? Valentin can’t say for sure, but he does know Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) would’ve reappeared in Port Charles no matter what.
After Robert comes back to take Valentin into custody, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) faces a tricky situation on the side of the road. He wants to get Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) to the hospital, but Maxie insists there’s no time.
Once Maxie’s settled on a blanket, Peter delivers her baby boy. The ambulance comes for Maxie, but Peter opts to take care of something before joining her at GH.
In his car, Peter gets a gun out before calling Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). Spinelli gets the baby news, but he helps Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) find the email containing Peter’s next meeting spot and time before taking off. Jason races to the pier thanks to Spinelli’s efforts.
Back at the Nurses Ball, Ava changes her song choice at the last minute. Her version of “You Don’t Own Me” by Lesley Gore is a hit with some, but not everyone is thrilled.
Griffin questions Ava about the song change, so she suggests the move was inspired in part by Kiki and Griffin. Kiki eventually gives Ava a bouquet before Dr. Bensch tells Kiki he’ll see her bright and early in the morning.
Meanwhile, Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) needs to get to GH ASAP, so Drew Cain (Billy Miller) gives her a ride. In Maxie’s room, Kim reassures her about the baby and lets her enjoy a virtual visit with him on a tablet. Maxie mentions how her water broke all over Peter’s car before wondering where Peter is.
On the pier, Anna calls out for Heinrik until Peter shows up. She calls Peter by name, but he suggests “Mother” was right the first time. Peter lashes out since he assumes Anna’s posing as his mother for the WSB, but she contends that she has to tell him something. Anna soon faces Peter’s gun as he whips it out and aims it straight at her.
