General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, May 5 – Carly Attacks Nina For Siding With Nelle – Ava Calls for Psychopath Franco’s Return

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, May 5, tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will open up about his dilemma during a chat with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). Nik just showed up at GH looking for a friend, but he soon realized Liz was also dealing with some drama.

Liz might fill Nikolas in on how Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) offended her, but she’ll probably downplay the drama and focus on Nik’s issues instead. Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) will only let Nikolas back in his life if he divorces Ava Jerome (Maura West), but Liz won’t see why that should bother Nik. Liz will declare that it’s “not a condition – it’s a get-out-of-jail-free card!”

However, Nikolas will insist Ava wants the bulk of the Cassadine fortune, Wyndemere and Spoon Island. Since Nikolas isn’t willing to give all that up, he’s in a real jam.

Liz may point out that Nikolas has to decide what’s most important to him. Spencer is what matters most to Nikolas, but his actions aren’t proving that and haven’t been for quite some time.

Nevertheless, it looks like Nikolas will stick to his plan. Nik will hope he can find a way to get rid of Ava and still earn Spencer’s love. While Nik works on having his cake and eating it too, Ava will lash out at Franco.

General Hospital fans know they were hugging when we last saw them, but their conversation will take a wrong turn soon enough.

Tuesday’s GH preview video shows Ava shouting, “Why don’t you go back to being the psychopath you used to be?!” Of course, Ava’s just upset over her fight with Nik and is taking her anger out on Franco. Once Ava settles down, Franco should be able to comfort Ava and score some comfort in return.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) fight with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) will get out of hand. Sam blames Kristina for her latest problems with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but Kristina won’t think that’s fair. In fact, Kristina will yell that the only reason Sam and Jason are still in love is because of her!

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) will surely jump in here. They’ll want to calm these sparring sisters down before they say anything else they might regret.

Sam apparently didn’t learn her lesson after what happened with Alexis. Kristina will definitely be blurting out things she shouldn’t as well, but let’s hope they can patch things up soon.

Next, Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) will meet up with Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier), who’ll ask if Martin’s prepared to win her sole custody of her son. Martin will think that’s wishful thinking under the circumstances. The best Nelle can hope for is joint custody unless she does something major to boost her case.

Martin will note that Nelle needs someone to speak on her behalf in court. Nelle doesn’t have many people in her life who’d be willing to do that, but she’ll hope Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) might come through for her.

Across town, Nina will defend Nelle to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) – at least somewhat. When Nina suggests Nelle genuinely seems to care about Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), Carly will be incredibly frustrated. Nina was supposed to be on Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) side, but Carly will feel like Nelle won Nina over.

Naturally, Nina might argue that this is about what’s best for Wiley, not being in either parent’s corner. If there’s a chance Nelle and Michael can reach a peaceful solution, Nina will think they should find it.

Since Carly clearly doesn’t think that’s possible, she’ll probably remind Nina of all the horrible things Nelle has done. Carly will be disgusted by the suggestion that Nelle deserves a place in Wiley’s life.

General Hospital spoilers say Carly and Nina will have a fierce faceoff, which could affect Nina’s view of Nelle moving forward. This is all building to the moment Nina eventually takes the stand and has to decide who’ll she’ll be loyal to.

GH fans won’t want to miss the custody hearing down the road! We’ll pass along updates as other news rolls in. It sounds like some exciting stuff’s coming up in Port Charles. CDL’s the place to be for terrific General Hospital spoilers, updates and news.
