General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, November 3, reveal that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) found Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) at the hospital and inquired as to how Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) was healing from the loss of her father.
Portia replied that it was none of Cyrus’ business, but Cyrus needled that Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) was indeed his business after being wrongly imprisoned for years.
Portia told Cyrus that she wouldn’t be intimidated, and she walked off, only to be followed by Cyrus onto the elevator. Elsewhere in the hospital, Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) talked with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), who was peeved because the PCPD denied his permit for a protest.
Jordan said that she’s the one who issued the denial, and TJ fussed with her.
As TJ was arguing with Jordan about his desire to stand up for what’s right, Cyrus and Portia exited the elevator nearby, and Cyrus overheard TJ say that he is subverting the hospital. “What’s wrong with wanting change?” TJ demanded.
Portia said that she was curious about that herself. Jordan intervened and said that this was a private conversation.
“Really?” Cyrus said. “It sounds like a public indictment of me.” TJ told Cyrus that he was organizing a protest of Cyrus’ policies, even if Jordan made sure that he didn’t get his protest approved by the PCPD.
Cyrus got agitated and started raising his voice about doctors needing to stick to dealing with patients. Cyrus eventually walked off, and Portia fumed that Jordan seemed to be protecting Cyrus.
Jordan insisted that she was just thinking about TJ’s future. TJ got upset and walked away in a huff, while Portia asked if Jordan would deny her a protest, too.
Portia griped at Jordan about not investigating the attack on Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) or making headway on Taggert’s murder. Portia insisted that she knew what was going on between Jordan and Cyrus.
In Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) office, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) entered and told Kevin that his brain tumor was back and that he was worried about a possible shift in his personality.
Kevin tried to comfort Franco, saying that there was no certainty that a personality shift would happen. Kevin asked if Franco had experienced side effect so far, and Franco said no.
Kevin urged Franco to open up to the people who loved him. Franco wondered if perhaps he should open up to someone who hates him.
Meanwhile, over at Charlie’s Pub, Julian Jerome (William deVry) looked at the photo of Trina and Taggert on Trina’s phone as he paced and left messages for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West).
Across the bar, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) sat with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and told him that the “mother from hell” called him last night.
Valentin initially thought that Peter had heard from Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes), but Peter said that it was Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). Valentin immediately realized that it must have been a trap set by Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).
Valentin told Peter not to go meet “Helena” and that Spinelli was just trying to get him to incriminate himself. Valentin cautioned Peter not to go after Spinelli because of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Through their conversation, Peter mentioned that having Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was his saving grace, and Valentin looked unnerved.
At the Corinthos house, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) talked with someone on the phone about Taggert getting settled in. Soon, Ava came to the door, having been summoned by Sonny.
Sonny shared that he got a call from Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), and he asked Ava if she knew what Ryan might want.
Ava made up a couple excuses and urged Sonny not to talk with Ryan, and she told Sonny that she had gone to see Ryan a while back and it was just more of Ryan’s games.
Sonny asked Ava if she was sure that she didn’t know why Ryan wanted to see him, and Ava again urged Sonny not to go. Sonny said he’d think about it.
Ava went directly from Sonny’s place to Charlie’s Pub, where she told Julian that Ryan called Sonny and that she needed to get to Pentonville to see Ryan before Sonny did. Ava suggested that Julian consider disappearing, but that he should wait until after she visited with Ryan.
Meanwhile, Spinelli arrived at the pub to see Peter, who had summoned him for a meeting. Peter promptly told Spinelli that he received a call from Helena last night, and that it was a scheme cooked up by him.
Peter told Spinelli to back off, and that he didn’t buy Spinelli’s phony olive branch routine. Peter said that he could crush Spinelli if he’s pushed, and that he’d revert to his past ways to protect his new life.
A bit later, Cyrus ambled into the pub to see Julian. “Just the person I want to see,” Julian said. “I’m ready to make a deal with you.” Meanwhile, over at Anna’s house, Anna sat handcuffed in the basement yelling for help.
Alex walked in and the sisters argued. Alex revealed that she planned to take over Anna’s life and take her rightful place as Peter’s mother.
Anna quickly found out that Alex was in a lot of trouble and had run out of places to hide. Suddenly, the doorbell rang, and Alex put tape around Anna’s mouth and went upstairs.
Alex answered the door, and Valentin stood there. Valentin urged “Anna” to go with him to warn Peter about Alex right now. “Anna” balked, and then she slipped and said something about her son Peter.
That stopped Valentin in his tracks, and he asked for a glass of water. When “Anna” went out to get the water, Valentin started searching, and by that time Anna had managed to get free from her handcuffs and remove the tape over her mouth.
Anna yelled for help from the basement, and Valentin heard her. As Valentin approached the basement door, Alex stuck a syringe in his neck.
Finally, at Pentonville, Sonny and Ryan sat face to face in the visiting booth. Sonny asked Ryan what he wanted, and Ryan said, “Oh, I don’t want anything from you. I have something you’re going to want.”
Sonny said he was listening, and Ryan said that he’d come into information that was going to rock Sonny’s world.
